Re: Tournament Time...Referees

Crabs brother, did Jackie start off the game with "quick"? Glad he is still on the sidelines helping young players with the game of basketball. Also, glad to hear you are back involved in the game too. Heard you called a good game the other night in the Jr. High tourney. Keep up the good works fell...

Re: Point Guards

I’d put Matthew Miller from Wheelersburg up against any player mentioned on this thread. And you would get smoked. Apparently nobody can have an opinion different than yours. Stop being an ass. So I'm the ass because I disagree with you? Got it. Miller is a solid player. He is not in the upper leve...

Re: Tournament Time...Referees

As you know the last key to every game is always, Play Hard and Have Fun, it was that way when you played and is now with these youngin's. I can assure you that I92's kid is the poster child for that "key to the game"! As for two years and you move up to varsity, you still have to pass the written ...

Re: Tournament Time...Referees

Did you not get the “good job” stickers that I told the Athens AD to give to you? Disappointing when people don’t do their AD duties. You did correctly call a lane violation on my kid which cost him a point and some time the next day at the gym to refocus on his free throws. Problem fixed. Thank Yo...

Re: Point Guards

The best "true points" I have seen all year are Williams from Athens and Wallis from Jackson. Leist has been around for 11 years so I know he is tough as well. Not seen the kid from Athens but Wallis is really good. Robertson from waverly and Miller from burg are up and comers. Williams may be the ...

Re: Tournament Time...Referees

I just wanted to say that I have watched a lot of basketball this season from freshman through varsity and this year has been the best year for the officiating that I can remember. It’s not the easiest job and fans are often crazy. Best of luck to those of you fortunate enough to work the tournamen...

The tall guy was average, the bald guy was outstanding and the short one kept talking about a tv show he saw in South Carolina!
It was a movie and it was outstanding. Believe it won an Oscar in Japan.

Anyone have a score on the Valley Wheelersburg 8th game? I’ve seen each team play a time or two and I’d think it would be a good one
43-39 Valley.

Re: Wheelersburg @ Waverly, Friday, 2/1/19

A Big Ten official is "out to get" the Burg. Comical. In a 23 point win. Why do people keep referring to the score and this guy’s level of officiating? He may be really good, He may have college experience? Who cares? I seriously doubt he’s out to get burg but this particular game he was on a crew ...

Athens at Alexander - postponed
I look for this game to played tomorrow night.
With Athens moving their game with Jackson, that would make sense.

Re: 1/29 Logan v Chillicothe

I am starting to disagree with Huffers offense and coaching style. I understand that Noel can stroke the long ball. He is probably more confident in shooting the 3 than he is posting up i get it. But i don't understand how someone 6'7" who has excellent post moves and feet does not AT LEAST work th...

You better get there early Pfloyd. The place will be packed. There will probably be 3 games. I know last year I went when they played Harvest Prep, and they played 3 games. I know Logan will travel well, where as HP had mayby 25-30 fans.
And yes there are 3 games with the freshmen tipping at 4:45.

Re: DIII - Jackson

That is it.

That said I would take:

Wheelersburg
Eastern
Fairland
Alexander
Ironton
Chesapeake
Oak Hill

Against Adena today. That may change in a few weeks, but right now that is just my opinion. Which means squat.

Re: Wheelersburg vs Russell, 1/22/19

Is that worse than shooting a bow and arrow? Asking for a friend. This was my first thought as well I may be in the minority but that stuff doesn’t bother me as long as A: they back it up which #24 did or B: it doesn’t cost you from getting back on defense. Kids should have fun playing a game becau...

Re: Wheelersburg vs Russell, 1/22/19

I'm surprised this game was even this close, Russell is terrible this year. A win is a win though, congratulations Pirates. I had to sit on the Russell side because of the crowd there to see the pee wee cheerleaders and the guy sitting next to me said that was best Russell had played all year. They...

Re: OHSSA letter to parents

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Fans are no different when it comes to yelling at referees now than they were 50 years ago. Fans haven’t gotten worse. We’re the same idiots yelling “3 seconds” “call it both ways” “that’s over the back” etc that were yelling it 50 years ago. What’s changed ...

Looks here like the TO is being called.
That is NOT the TO, McClain is shooting in this picture the Home team. ZT is in Red, so different play altogether.

No.

You are wrong. Cam Evans is at the line in that pic.
