Re: Coaches paying for stadiums???

MD,
Heard a rumor that some girls from ND were going to Portsmouth if Keller wasn't returned. Can you tell me if that was the case or just rumor?
Thanks,

How will the S.E.O.A.L. stack this year?

I know how it finished last year, curious if there is any teams they could find themselves having a big turn around from last season? Hope the league has nice depth this season. What are your thoughts? Who is returning for your team? How should your team be?

Re: Ironladies Indoor Hitting League to start Oct. 23rd

MD,

If you have a few players that would like to be in the league, they could hit on Sunday Mornings if they can't at any other time.
Let me know!

Re: Ironladies Indoor Hitting League to start Oct. 23rd

I will post scores of teams after the second week. Still have teams that are signing up. Had 8 more girls sign up today, the league is up to about 17 teams(3 players per team). Has really taken off to be a good thing for players. As for able to hit on Sunday, I am checking on availability. Should ha...

Re: Nice Hitting Video

No, what I was implying was that his base doesn't look powerful to where he is capable of adjusting midstride to a pitch because of movement on the ball or location not exactly where he thought. I think he only hits the perfect pitch hard, not able to make an adjustment on the fly. We can ALL hit th...

Re: Nice Hitting Video

Didn't me to imply that you knew the guy in the baseball video, I thought you said that you taught same technique as the baseball and softball video? I was implying that the weight distribution and balance of power at time of contact looked completely different and would be contradicting styles. Can...

Re: Ironladies Indoor Hitting League to start Oct. 23rd

Had the 1st night of the hitting league this evening, I felt it went very well. Enjoyed working with the younger hitters. We currently have 14 teams (three members) registered for the league: Approx. 6 teams in 11yr. olds & younger Approx. 8 teams in 12yr. olds through high school Not to late to...

Re: Nice Hitting Video

Just viewed both videos, I will take the girls swing for Softball over the guys swing. I hope I misunderstood about these swings being taught by the same person. These two swings are COMPLETELY different philosophies and technique to hitting. The girl throwd hands, full extension, balance strong and...

IRONMAN24 stated: [url ]It's way to late to do tackling drills[ /url] It is only 2-late if the coaches have stopped teaching it, and I ensure you that won't happen. IT MAY BE A LONG AND EXHAUSTING PRACTICE, BUT I GUARANTEE A ONE-MAN TACKLING SLED CAN GET THE MESSAGE SENT TO PLAYERS WITHIN ONE WEEK. ...

Re: Week 7: Logan (1-5) at Jackson (3-3)

IRONMAN02, Wasn't what I meant to imply, just meant that it seems ALL coaches are always questioned about playing time and how much time a player puts in the offseason should determine playing time during season. Have faced this myself, just seems like some people don't understand that hard work to ...

Re: Week 6: Warren (2-3) @ Jackson (2-3)

I believe Jackson gets a couple of ke players back. Goes back to fundamentals this week and gets back to Ironman type of football: POUND IT ON OFFENSE and lots of PRESSURE and FLYING TO THE BALL ON DEFEENSE. I also venture to say that the Coaching Staff with make sure they get the player's attention...

Re: Practice schedules?

For a person to have to turn to those tactics for players to respond, YOU SHOULD USE THE WORD "COACH" LIGHTLY IN HIS RESPECT. Need to be more respectful towards the players. Must use the cussing and physical contact because he can't get players to perform, by the way, those tactics will wo...

A-Town Big Dog Stated: "It's the same Jackson philosophy, big O-line and they'll line up and try to run you over." This isn't the case thus far, we run many formations and TRY to run long traps and trickery in order to show the big play potiential. I believe when Jackson cuts O-line splits...

Re: Week 4: Athens (2-1) @ Jackson (2-1)

This game is not rocket science!!! Jackson wins, but ONLY IF: ---Def. Backs stay between the WR and the goalline and make the one-on-one tackle. Live for another play, not allowing 40+ yard TD plays. ---ON OFFENSE, keep lines splits down and give a heavy dose of Landrum(35 carries) straight ahead, N...
