Re: Tyler Gerald???

I just found out it was due to a shoulder injury. He is enrolled in his old high school, plans to graduate early, and then enroll at OSU in January. I wish him a full and speedy recovery!

Tyler Gerald???

I heard a rumor that Tyler Gerald left IMG Academy. Any truth to this? If so, is he still committed to the Buckeyes?

Re: Why are players leaving Gallipolis?

After 10 or more years of success in all sports, why are today's athletes leaving GAHS for other schools?
We don't have athletes anymore and the politics don't work anymore when your numbers of quality players is down. We may beat Rock Hill...

Re: DIII Rock Hill Sectional Seeding

Most people will look at the win-loss records but Fairland should be the number one seed. They have beaten Wheelersburg and split with Ironton. They absolutely destroyed Oak Hill. I am calling it now that Fairland will be district champs for the 4th year in a row.
Don't count Ironton out just yet, the bench will be a lot deeper after 2 more games. The second half of the season should be interesting for the Fighting Tigers.
Re: THE OVC 2014-2015

If Gallia Academy was playing in the OVC this year, its record would be 1-5 thus far. People have said for years that GA would be in the running for a conference championship in every sport if they joined the OVC. Obviously, that's not the case. Good thing the powers that be in Gallipolis City Schoo...
Shaping up to be a good season for all three teams. South Gallia at 4-1 their only loss to Gallia Academy. If they can pick up 4-5 road wins they will win the Hocking division. From what I've seen so far the Rebels have to be considered the favorite in this race. Expect t...
I think the additions of Gallia Academy, Ironton, and Portsmouth, it's gonna have to force the other 5 OVC members to step up if they want to be able to compete, otherwise, it's gonna be the "Big 3" running the show in most sports, especially in football.[/qu...

I find it amazing that no one is commenting on the Dragons especially since this is a southeastern Ohio school that made it to the state tournament.

Re: Eastern vs Huntinton St Joe

So how did Eastern lose this game? The answer is simple......coaching. The Eagles had a 9-point lead with 1:47 remaining in regulation. Unlike Huntington St. Joe, who made sure the ball was in their best player's hands (Johnson), Eastern did not get Burdette the ball. Burdette should have gotten the...

Re: SCORES & UPDATES: WEEK 6

Not really sure what to say about the Fairland-South Point game....I was there....Fairland has an outstanding team....tremendous athletes.....game took a long time....while Fairland did have their JV in the 4th quarter, I do not think South Point had a choice but to play most (NOT ALL) of it starter...

Re: Week 5 - South Point (4-0) @ Lucasville Valley (4-0)

While the combined records of South Point opponents is not good, it should be mentioned that every school (with the exception of Wellston) has larger enrollment numbers. For example, Boyd County (KY) would be a D-II school in Ohio. I agree it will be a very tough game for the Pointers and that they ...
