Re: Should Wellston Keep Playing Jackson?

Back on topic -- 2old is correct. This game should no longer be played and should have stopped 10 years ago. Jackson is known state-wide for its poor scheduling. As for the alleged reason -- money -- its only one game and there are lots of teams Jackson could play and get a respectable gate. Of cou...

Re: Jackson Ironmen

Jackson was undefeated at 10-0 in 1996. They improved to 11-0 by beating T.J. Turner and Hillsboro in the playoffs. Ironmen then lost a close game to DeSales in the regional finals to finish 11-1. Jackson has had a bunch of 7,8,9 win seasons since 1994, but only the '96 team was able to run the tabl...

Re: Some Questions about newspaper coverage.

I can't remember the last time I saw the Logan Daily News cover Miller. It's been quite a few years. I would say for Miller it's the Perry County Tribune or the Athens Messenger.

Dont have to. That is not my job as it seems to be nobodys job. Your job is to whine and complain and rain on everybody's else's parade. I must say you are very good at crying like a baby. Congrats to all the teams that have made it to the state tournament regardless if all the players have attende...

Re: Best Jackson Ironmen Quarterbacks Past 20 Years

Great videos. The Tipton run was even better than I described. Has to be quite a few to chose from with Shane Wolford and Humphreys. I would love to see some video from the playoff games in '96 against Hillsboro and Desalles. I remember T.J. Turner being a one-man wrecking crew against us for Hillsb...

Jackson leaving the SEOAL for the TVC would be possibly the lowest moment in the history of Jackson athletics.

Re: Best Jackson Ironmen Quarterbacks Past 20 Years

Good post Ironman92. I was just trying to get the best out of you. I know you can't let Ironman02 show you up. I did hear from a solid source that Ironman02 went nuts when the band used to do script Ohio. My source told me that you didn't talk to Ironman02 about the first half until both bands were ...

Re: Best Jackson Ironmen Quarterbacks Past 20 Years

Great post as always Ironman02. In order to recall some big games from Morgan, we would probably need a poster who graduated from Jackson around, oh I don't know, somewhere around 1992. Do you know anybody who might fit that category? I'll have to mention another great QB game in the history of Jack...

I can't recall individual statistics enough to say the best game.

Oh come on I-92, I wasn't asking for a box score, just memories of great games these QB's had. I bet Ironman02 steps up here!

Re: Best Jackson Ironmen Quarterbacks Past 20 Years

How about taking this a step further and asking what are the best individual games by a QB at Jackson in the past 20 years? Of course very recently you have Humphreys ruining Athens' season in 2003 with more than 200 yards rushing and some big passes. He went head to head with Grant Gregory and led ...

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"

Ironman02, I don't know, after seeing theassassin quote that post from Ironmanfan01, I'm convinced that Jackson already hired their coach. What more do you want? He must be pretty naive to believe a poster who started a thread about a month ago that Jackson had already hired their head coach. Come o...

That's interesting. Army, BuckeyeCav doesn't have anything to say about this Chillicothe loss. What a coincidence, he's so quick to comment anytime Chilly wins.

Re: Shane Wolford resigns as Jackson head coach

Few observations after reading this thread... -- It's not alright to say you want to spend time with your family if you resign from a head coaching position. Some people on SEOPS demand a better reason than that! And by-golly they deserve it! -- Jackson isn't a football school I guess despite having...

That's O.K. Golden Rockets. Hang in there. I will always stand up for my alma mater. Like I said. That other school is not all that. Maybe they will be fortunate to play a third time at the Convo against the Chillicothe CAVS this season to. Then we'll see how great they are. As for your game with t...

Re: TVC-hocking predictions

Listen, as much as I HATE to admit it, there is no team in the TVC that can play with Waterford. Federal doesn't even have a chance. I'm not saying fed. hock. doesnt have talent....they do, a lot, but the fact is talent is not enough to win against a team like Waterford. The lady cats not only have...

Re: Shane Wolford resigns as Jackson head coach

Ironman02, I think Pete Woods would be a good hire. Good coach that was a part of some good teams at Jackson. He's been a Philo for quite a while now. The MVL is so tough to win, look at what Sheridan did to Chillicothe last year. (By the way, I would like an enrollment figure on Sheridan. I know Ch...

BuckeyeCav -- What would you think about Chillicothe joining the TVC-Ohio? I look at Chilly a lot like I look at Vinton County. Solid basketball programs, yet mediocre in other sports. Both are D-II in basketball and D-III in football. Both are hit-and-miss in football. Chillicothe would've been em...

Wow!! That final is a little surprising. For Southeastern to come back out and pick themselves up and get a win after their Friday night thumping by Peebles shows a lot of determination in that team. Congratulations to the young, rookie head coach of Southeastern in getting his first Varsity win ov...
