Looks like I missed that one! But that's why they play the games. Congratulations to Eastern on a hard fought win and man the TVC was shaken up last night!

Npeifer I don't think too many people take your posts serious after reading some of them. Dear Mr. Sanford, I am sure that some do not, however I am equally sure that many do! Since I choose to not hide behind a screen name it's quite easy to see who I am and yet I still speak my mind. I said nothi...

Re: Southern @ Eastern 12/14
Teams are pretty evenly matched. Not sure Southern who has anyone that can guard Carnahan. On the other hand Drummer will be a tough matchup for Eastern, even with Pullins back Tristen Wolfe is a tenacious defender & very capable of guarding Carnahan , that being said I dont think anyone will c...

Re: Top west virgina teams around
It is difficult to consider Huntington Prep a "high school" team IMHO. And since many of of us are in River towns like myself in Gallipolis, I'm sure some will care. That being said I'm sure some will not. Point Pleasant has 11 seniors on the squad this year and 2 of their better players w...

Re: New NCAAB scoring record
Grinnells coach Dave Arsenault is the original inventor of the 7 seconds or less style. He and I have spoke on numerous occasions and I love his outlook on the game. They have a mathmatical formula that allows them to be successful if they hit specific goals. Grinnell presses 100% of the time and fu...

Re: Southern vs Vinton County scrimmage
My apologies on the incorrect info. My info came from a parent that was texting me during the scrimmage.
I think both teams will be much better later in the season that was was shown last night, but that goes for every team.

Re: Athens Shriner Preview this year???
All but 2 of the matchups are very onesided. It does neither team any good when this happens I don't think you can ever read much into "scrimmage" or "previews" but why don't we all pick who we think will win and see how it turns out? I will start by putting the team I'm picking...

Tried to post a schedule from Maxpreps but can't get it to work?
I believe their new coach is Josh Williams. I know his first name is Josh and he was on the staff in some fashion last year.

Re: Southern vs Vinton County scrimmage
Vinton won every quarter but 1. Southern played decent defense but had a lot of trouble scoring the ball. Drummer didnt get much time and was very ineffective when he as in. Is he injured or sick? That is not accurate as the 2 teams split the first 4 quarters 2 each. The 5th quarter VC won 9-4 beyo...

Re: Portsmouth West 2012
The only 2 I know are Hafer and Davis from AAU ball. Hafer is a really good athlete who is strong in the paint and a terrific rebounder. Davis should be ready to handle the PG spot at the varsity level easily. Davis is fast and strong for his size with an excellent outside shot as well as being able...

Re: (0-1) South Gallia @ (0-1) Southern
Should be a good game either way. SG needs to have all their players healthy to be able to compete this season. I was impressed with SGs young quarterback late in the game making some plays. I didn't get to see the RV vs. Southern game but it sounds like they both played their hearts out and Souther...
