Re: The same old song.
You seem to have some issue with Eastern HS. Kinda strange since you indicate being from Ironton. Most Ironton people I know wouldnt even give Eastern a second thought.

Eagles keep rolling on with good players, per usual, and finally great coaching. Now forward swiftly to 4-0.

Re: Week 3: Vinton County @ Trimble
Yeah I was way off on this one. Thought Trimble was better than that. What I get for thinking.

Re: Week 3: Vinton County @ Trimble
They aren’t the best team in the Hocking this year. They weren’t last year either. They would clearly be the best in the Ohio and it wouldn’t be enough competition to prepare them for the playoffs so I doubt that they would want to switch at this time.

Re: Week 3: Vinton County @ Trimble
Trimble gets another win against the TVC Ohio reflecting the dominance the Hocking has over the Ohio this year.

Re: WK3 2-0 Eastern @ 2-0 South Gallia
Eastern finally has a coaching staff that puts the time in and gets the most out of the players. That’s bad news for their opponents. The talent has always been there but the coaching has been severely lacking. Now we’ll get to see how good they CAN be. They’ll be way too physical for SG. This one c...

Re: Hopefully Coach Pendleton isn’t going anywhere.
Yes he “played” the board on this and they fell for it. And as you said, good for him. Now to prove he is worthy by delivering that danged elusive chip. Do you think he can finish the job? Can he win a state title at Ironton? Yes. But he has to learn from the past games and make the necessary adjus...

Re: Belpre football
If your team is getting trolled it is usually because they are doing better than their team. When I see someone complaining about trolls it’s typically from someone who either trolls themselves and/or whose teams are used to winning but are at the time losing. Trolls hate to be trolled. To the comp...

Re: Belpre football
There was no hiring last night. Super said in his board report that he hoped to make a recommendation to the board in the near future. Next regularly scheduled board meeting is in late February. Why are they waiting that long since they called all the candidates Monday-Tuesday and stated they offer...

Re: Fort Frye 2023
With the OHSAA having a new count this year, does Fort Frye believe it will stay in DVI or move up/down? Small schools seem to bounce around a bit as some big/small classes go through the school, not to mention any potential Competitive Balance #’s that could move one up. DVI or DVII in SE Ohio isn...

Re: Trimble and FH TVC Hocking Title (Predictions)
The first thing Thimble people want to do after a loss is cry, "but they had that one player..." and then start talking about eligibility. Then the phone calls start. I guess to them "nobody is supposed to beat us and if they do they cheated and we're going to get them for this."...

Re: East Knox 35 Trimble 28 2021 Playoffs
Trimble won't be going away anytime soon. Maybe it will be different next year but the wins will be there. They have a nice run going and those guys on the team believe in the system and that is a huge part of the battle. Tradition doesn't graduate down here and the kids now it. They understand it ...

Re: Week 12: Trimble @ East Knox
I would say, yes. JM cats got behind and used physicality to get back in the game but fell short. Fort Frye just dominated up front with physicality just on another level in general. Yes NY was physical and is a physical team hence the domination over centerburg. If east Knox is not I can see Trimb...

Re: Rock Hill MS Vs Ironton MS
Must have been one hell of a junior high football game if we're still talking about it 6 years later!* I remember back when Southern had those boys who played on the Jr. High team for 5 years. They went undefeated a few times during that span. He11 they me still be in Jr High for all know. :ugeek:

Re: WK7 Gallia Academy - Coal Grove
Coal Grove too much for the inactive Devils. Hall and Simpson each run for over 125 yards. CG-35...GA-14 I think Gallipolis will run away with this game literallly. Not even close. They should. I really thought Gallia had found their savior but with what I've been told has been going on behind the ...

Re: 2021 Trimble 13 - 45 Fort Frye
This is what typically happens when a Hocking team gets over confidence and steps out of the comforts of the league to test the waters of the good teams. Gotta give it to Trimble though they stepped out twice this year and got beat back to the Hocking both times but they gave it a shot.

Re: WK7 Trimble - Eastern Meigs
No surprise Eastern cancelled. From what I'm told by a former admin who's still in the know they are just going through the motions trying to get this season over with. Look for new leadership next year hopefully. Just hope they try to find someone who works hard and wants the teams to be successful...

Most folks don't "use it" unless they're unhappy. Athens seems happy. You on the other hand seem unhappy, so again, there's always that exit door.BlizzardMan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 1:23 pmAthens should use it.

Re: WK9 Belpre @ Eastern Meigs
Belpre has the advantage in coaching. The talent is close to even. Maybe the home field will help the Eastern Eagles to pull one off and get a good chance at the post season, but it won't be easy to overcome the coaching deficiency.
