D coordinator at Wapakoneta, Shane Patterson, will be recommended at Monday's board meeting. He did not get the job when Frye left a few months ago, but Wapak hired Wynford's coach, who is top notch. Under the radar, but good, hire for the 'Stangs.

Next board meeting is set for Monday, 4/21.

It's a done deal. Congrats to the coaches and athletes, who worked hard for years to prove to the league that the sport had staying power.

Honestly, they'll probably not just add two teams, but four -- IF they decide to expand at all. Then, expand to two divisions.

And, if you look around the region, there aren't a lot of teams that probably fit the bill (football, wrestling [which I believe is something they want to expand now]).

Max Corcoran (Chillicothe) is on the OU roster as well, as a wide receiver. Burrow is now drawing interest from Nebraska, Kentucky and Ohio State. He also has offers from Maryland, Cincy, Va. Tech, NC State. Insiders believe he will pick WVU. Williams has visited MSU, Vandy, Boston College, Penn St....

Heard they asked Downing to come back, but he declined after he also asked the school to bring Keller back as OC and they said no.

Greg Tracey will be recommended at Monday's board meeting. Assistants will be Bret Wrightsel (yep, THAT Bret Wrightsel) and Amanda Stewart (jr. high coach).

Board meetings are the second Monday of the month, which could mean next week.

It's not official yet. The School Board meets 6/24. They could vote on the boys bball coach and the football coach.
