I reffed a 3-3 tourney in Gallipolis and they played very good in it. I believe they were younger than High School aged kids. I think they won the tourney.

I have a lot of pride and interest in the State Champion teams as I had family members involved. I'll never forget shagging fly balls that Larry hit while trying out with the Phillies. I remember watching those Trojan days and I'm telling you one thing Larry Hisle was the man on the basketball court. He would have played at OSU but signed his baseball contract. Those were the days my friends.

I hate to say this but back when I played PHS wouldn't have played this game. I remember when the 1st time we played Wheelersburg. But that was back when our league was Middleton, Springfield, and Lima. Boy there was some good players there.

I'm no sure who has teams other than GAHS and Ironton.

Cincy area rules High School tennis.

Gallia Academy has had some good players but they cannot compete out of the area.

Last I saw Ironton play hoops they were terrible (Convo last yr) So I hope they are still a football town.

Gallia has had quite a run of it lately but the competition is terrible. What happened to the Wheelersburg and Chillicothe's in the world?

Gallia does not have field turf and the grass turns to mud within a week or so due to letting everyone use the field including midget league.
