Re: Week 3 Warren @ Athens
Warren, as long as the D focuses in the film room and throughout the game...Athens has made late comeback attempts each of the first two weeks....don't let the third time be the charm. Warrior O looks stellar, will be interesting to see how Leffingwell holds up against what should be a better, more ...

Re: Week 1 - Marietta @ Morgan
God I hope Marietta wins a really close game, so Morgan will be too distracted by last week to prep for Big Blue ;)
But I don't want to see Marietta lose 'em all! Just the last one

Re: Week 1- Belpre Eagle at Warren Warriors
This is almost straight from a post by Swami about two years ago, but it's accurate info. I've done a little digging since then...but this is what I have 1961: Belpre 14, Warren 6 (Series: Belpre 1, Warren 0) 1962: Belpre 16, Warren 8 (2-0) 1963: Warren 14, Belpre 6 (2-1) 1964: Belpre 16, Warren 0 (...

Re: Week 1- Belpre Eagle at Warren Warriors
warrnwarriorfan, I am using Swami's year-by-year history that he posted on SEOPS about two years ago, updating it for the elapsed time since then. So provided his original information is correct, then the decade by decade, win totals, and number of games played are correct. If you were to sort the f...

Re: Warren Jamboree
Warren's varsity ended the night down 14-28, they only played 2 quarters before ceding to the junior varsity. Auburntgrfan is completely correct...it's a SCRIMMAGE....the Indianapolis Colts haven't won more than 25% of their preseason games since 2004...hasn't stopped them from winning at least 75% ...

Re: WK 1 Belpre Eagle at Warren Warriors
talk to Jim Rhodes or swamisez...they're pretty good with Warrior history. I just looked through the season by season that i have...at first I had the Warriors leading 24-23-1, but I recounted and the series actually appears tied at 24 games apiece, with a tie in 1979. By decade: 1960s: Warren 3; Be...

Re: Warren Warriors
Fivecoait was a good player, a very very good one. But a team with 6 different good players is a stronger team than one with one or two very very good players and the rest average. I think the six golfers mentioned above are all pretty consistent scorers with a desire to improve and be coached, and ...

Practice starts in earnest tomorrow morning! Best of luck to Coach Schob and the Boys in Blue

Re: Thoughts on Warren Football Season
This is a little blast from the past, but Warren athletic director and former football coach Jim Pifer has already left the MOV, and his contract will give way to a part time "Athletic Coordinator" on July 1. I'd just like to thank coach Pifer for doing what it took to bring Warren footbal...

Re: Warren over Gallia
GAHS4ever, This past school year I was the president of Pep Club at WHS and the leader of our student section. I also serve as the volleyball team's cameraman, and was filming during that game at Gallia. I can't attest for past Warren student sections, but all four years I have been involved, and es...

That she did. Emma threw 125'10" in her last prelim throw, to enter the finals as the top seed.
In finals she threw 125'7" to finish 4th. The winner threw 128'
What a superb run to finish a season! Congrats Emma!

Re: Thoughts on Warren Football Season
To answer your question generically, Warren usually has 7 paid football coaches. This number includes the head coach, the JV coach(es) and the assistants (but not the junior high). As for which of the 7 are paid, warrenwarrior55 is correct that if you really want to know, go read the BOE minutes on ...

Re: Thoughts on Warren Football Season
Curt Shriver has officially been added to the Warriors' staff....this should be a great advantage to Coach Schob to have another former head coach on staff in addition to Coach Riffey.

Re: Belpre at Warren 2010
With Coach Shriver officially being on Big Blue's staff for the fall, I see that as another 10 points for the Warriors.
Belpre will be good again, and they could be very competitive in the TVC Hocking this year, but Warren Football hath returned!

Watch...I'll make you a bet that the Warren coaches are well aware of this and aren't going to take the whole JV team to Chillicothe.
I don't know why everyone is suddenly hating on Big Blue....just because we're winning good games?

Re: Logan Chieftain Stadium Records-B & G
I remember the old stadium track when it was cinders. Broke my arm there hurdling as a freshman. Won the discus in the Mingo Relays as a senior. Lots of memories there in the late 70's. Logan always treated us great (Jackson) Al Riffey was a great coach and very advanced for the day. I run for Ol' ...

Re: Warren Warriors 09-10
That game was insanely long, Warren had the necessary RISP three times in the extras.
well done, Warriors, the defensive effort was spectacular from the 6th inning on. and offensively, well, we won.
