Re: Paladin's Pigskin Picks --Wk 2

Good post. Do you think the SEOAL from top to bottom is stronger than say the MVL? Is the MVL a possibility for Logan?

Re: Paladin's Pigskin Picks --Wk 2

Even a "guru" will miss a few. We can agree to disagree. I also feel the weather may come into play a bit here. I am hearing a little bit of rain may be a problem. Just not sure that PHS is as good as advertised. We will see what we shall see. On a side note, and if you don't want to...

Easy pickins this week for Paladin. I like all your picks but one. I hope you are right and i am wrong, but I think West beats portsmouth this season.

Re: New Ironton vs. Logan series: Will this happen?

I agree with Paladin and other Logan fans on here. I don't think the Ironton-Logan series is a good idea. Neither team travels well to the other place anymore. Logan was really good last time Ironton played them at home and i bet they didnt bring 300 people to Ironton. Same goes for Ironton. We didn...

If at least 8 regular season wins and a playoff appearance is a long year, then I agree with the previous post.

Re: Week 2 IRONTON (1-0) @ RUSSELL, KY (0-1)

...Milford which is our week 9 game beat Cin Hughes 58-8, they just might be better than some think, but I don't know much about either of those teams other than Milford was 7-3 last year. I agree Milford Center Fairbanks is probably better than many think, but I wouldn't conclude too much from thi...

Re: Week 2 Portsmouth (1-0) at West (1-0)

This game will not be won by Pendleton or the Portsmouth throwing game. It will be won or lost on the offensive and defensive line of scrimmage. Whoever is physically tougher for 4 quarters will win. I give the edge to West. I think West will need to win this game to make the playoffs.

Re: Week 2-Wheelersburg (0-1) @ Oak Hill (1-0)

To address what neutron man said, I have been saying for years that The Burg is far and away the class of the SOCII. The pretty much dominate every sport in the conference. All you have to do is list every sport and the champion in each of those sports the past 15 years. The Burg has a tremendous al...

Re: Paladin's Pigskin Picks - Wk. 1

It really isn't important. That was all years ago. What is important is all the memories and friendships I've held thru the years. Honors won are nice, still have those trophies stored somewhere here, lol. But to remember all the azz kicking you put on other teams & players.............. .........

Ironton vs Wheelersburg Thursday night?

I know we have had many discussions about Ironton and Saturday night games. i know many coaches dont like Saturday night games because it gets your team out of sync, playing mostly friday night games. I was wondering what the thought would be on the annual Ironton vs Wheelersburg game being played o...

he'd be crazy not to. When West beats Burg at the end of the year, they will get more playoff points. Ironton is not on West's schedule.

Re: Ironton vs. Portsmouth and Wheelersburg

who would be hurt the most if these series ended? I am pretty sure the burg and portsmouth could probably find another game. Could Ironton find two games? Great point. Burg and Portsmouth are basically the only schools in Lawrence or Scioto County that will agree to compete with Ironton in football...

Re: Week 1 - Ironton @ Wheelersburg

I still stand by my prediction 56-6. I'm giving the Burg 6 points since it's their officials. If it was at the Tank I would say 56-0. I'm an Ironton fan and I will raise the stakes of that bet to $200. That post is what gives a lot of us a bad name. That is just plainly ignorant. Actually, if Im no...
