Re: 2019 SOUTHERN OHIO CONFERENCE-2 SCHEDULES

Unless you are building a program, why would ever schedule a Club team? You mean there was no one in Ohio, KY, or WV for West to schedule other than a Club team? I understand your point of view, but every team does not have the same circumstances as the schools who make deep playoff runs almost eve...

Re: Update on the new PVC

At this conference expansion race discussion to the bottom, we’re going to see “Logan to the Ohio Valley Conference???” by February. Just out of curiosity, why would NCtown be interested in this new league? I used to live up that way and I thought they were pretty much tied to the smaller Tusky Val...

Re: Texas schools: 16 game schedule.

Prime Time: I agree 100%. I’ve been on this bandwagon for years. SMH. Maybe they can start 3 year old travel teams soon. Wow Don't look now, but Upstate South Carolina has travel teams for age 6 and under coach pitch baseball. Sad thing it is almost a requirement if your child is to have any chance...

Classy statement by the departing coach.

The revolving door continues at McDermott to the detriment of the Mohawk football program. Maybe the BOE can take turns coaching. (sarcasm)

What became of the young man that played at Sciotoville then to IMG in Flordia.Did he make it to collage ball? That would be Mr. Tyler Gerald. He signed with Ohio State but left the program. An internet search yields no college football activity since. Maybe someone else has better knowledge. https...

Fox Sports is close to finalizing a deal to hire the former Ohio State head coach as its star college football analyst, sources tell Sporting News. Meyer, who won three national ...

While I have no sympathy for those who are easily offended, triggered, or woke, there should be no tolerance of racial epithets in this day and age.

High School Sports have changed drastically since I played, some good things and some not so good things. The not so good things are causing problems. Hardscrabble roots, old school coaching, salt tablets and no water ( I remember those days also). After a loss to "AA" Ceredo-Kenova and Coach Carl Ward in 1967 and quarterbacking the 1968 State 'A' championship game against Paden City It's been all uphill and he's not done yet. Good article. https...

Re: 2018-19 Ohio State Buckeyes Men's Basketball

1st bad loss of the year. Question is, how does this young team bounce back? Holtmann's squad plays fundamentally sound, team oriented basketball. They do not yet have the gifted "go to" scorer or big man to consistently slug it out in the Big 10. They still are on track for 20+ wins and a likely m...

Re: Licking County League expansion

Like water, schools and athletic conferences seek their own level of equilibrium. What I find surprising is how the demographics of Newark and Zanesville have changed. Both schools back in the day were in the prestigious AAA Central Ohio League. As to Logan, they are simply the victims of geography.

Sounds like Oak Hill lost and Oak Hill fans sitting behind Waverly bench ran their mouths a lot and Waverly coaches respond and Oak Hill fan got ticked and tried to take care of it. Why would Waverly coaches do anything or even some haha taunting after a huge road win? I’d think they’d be celebrati...

I got to see Trevor Lawrence play against NC State this past season and I was most impressed with his poise and leadership. The "it" factor is often more important than athletic skills. The scary thing is that Clemson may be more talented next season, but we know repeating a championship is more dif...
