TOSU TBDBITL Director Fired

http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2014/07/24/ohio-state-band-waters.html The band is not usually considered to be a sports topic, but at TOSU the football team and marching band are joined at the hip in game day tradition. Charges of rampant hazing and sexual abuse are contained in the a...

2014 TOSU Bucks: NC Contenders or 5th Best In The BIG?

The summer doldroms that precede the dog days. Down south even talk about SC, Clemson and Roll Tide is quite. Being a transplant in South Carolina makes getting realistic news on the Buckeyes difficult at best. The "homer" web sites all have TOSU in the playoffs. I need a dose of reality though befo...

Re: waverly basketball 2014

Runner00, And just what are the expectations? The memory of the glory days of Waverly basketball under Carroll Hawhee still lingers in the community. Even though those winning days were 40 some years ago, it is my opnion Tiger fans still dream of a return to that era of success on the hard court. T...

Old school players from 40 plus years ago would have to include Waverly's Denny Thompson, Phil Miller, and John Shoemaker.

Re: Marshall kind of screwed in Conference USA

Hi-Lo, I appreciate your courteous and deep felt reply. I know not only the University suffered horrible losses but so did the community leadership. Every time I go back to the Tri State however, it seems there is some unseen mailise that is keeping the region down. I am an OSU grad but have great l...

Re: Marshall kind of screwed in Conference USA

Marshall put itself in the position they are in. I hope it works out for them in the long run. Being in the non BCS world is the best place for Marshall to be given their location and resources. Perhaps the Non BCS D-1 schools can form a champioship playoff like the current D-1AA FCS world. Just a ...

College Recruting Philosophy

As national signing day is upon us, I ask what are your thoughts about college recruiting philosphies? Do you choose the Sparty Coach Dantonio approach of signing the two and three star players who can be coached up into being stud players? Do you choose the Urban Myer approach of going after the be...

Re: BEST OHIO STATE FOOTBALL TEAM EVER-WHAT YR.

Best squads in term of team play, chemistry, and intangibles would have to be the last two national championship teams, 1968 and 2002. The most talented team would be 1998.

Re: ORANGE BOWL OHIO STATE/ CLEMSON

At the 6 minute mark of the 2nd quarter, Clemson 20 TOSU 9. Clemson clearly superior in speed and quickness. Yet Tiger mistakes have kept them from a 28-0 lead at this point. Surprised Clemson has stopped Hyde and Miller already has the deer in headlights look. Unless the Bucks can quickly shift the...

Re: ORANGE BOWL OHIO STATE/ CLEMSON

OH THEY MOST CERTAINLY ARE ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS IN THE NATION. FOOTBALL IS ALL ABOUT MATCHUPS. AND MSU EXPLOITED OUR WEAKNESSES. Sparty indeed exploited OSU's weaknesses but also delivered a physical beatdown during the fourth quarter. The TV camera did a close up of Buckeye defender faces and it ...

Re: OHIO STATE/ MICHIGAN STATE-BIG TEN CHAMP.

The ramifications of this game are staggering! Win and we're going to the BCS championship game, lose and we head to the Capital One Bowl! The ramifications are indeed huge. Did TOSU emotionally drain themselves in Ann Arbor? Are the Bucks already making plans for the NCG? Has Sparty been quitely a...

Re: Ohio State @ Michigan

Someone forgot to tell the Bucks the game started at noon Pretty much sums it up. 10.53 left 2nd quarter and the TSUN leads 21-14 and have possession of the ball. TSU dominating all phases of the game, especially the lines of scrimmage. It is not over by a long shot but, but all good things (the wi...

Re: Ohio State @ Michigan

From the fog of time: November 22nd, 1969. Team of the century. 22 straight wins dating back to 1967.
Final score,TSUN 24- TOSU 12.

The point is it is a rivalry game and all good things come to an end. That said, TOSU 24 TSUN 13.

Re: OHIO STATE/ILLINOIS-----WHATCHA THINK.

With 4:53 left in the third quarter (OSU Just tallied a safety), the Bucks have pretty much kissed their NCG chances goodbye based on style points. Even if Bama or FSU were to lose, Ohio State will be passed in the human polls by Baylor and Stanford.

For us old folks: "Leroy Who?"

As other posts on this thread indicate, Purdue plays the Bucks tough at times. Let's hope that a "Holy Buckeye" play is not needed to secure the victory. OSU 45 PU 28.

Back on topic. OSU edges PSU 31-28 in a sloberknocker. PSU short on depth due to the sanctions but B O'B seems to get the most out of his players. A PSU upset cannot be ruled out.

Re: OHIO STATE-WISCONSIN/BIG TEN OPENER

From following the Bucks since the 1958 season, I have become used to disappointment and Wisconsin has had it's moments against us over the last 30 years. The game just scares me. Wisky will play Tressel ball against us, which led to my low score prediction. Would love nothing better than a 50-14 OS...

Re: OHIO STATE-WISCONSIN/BIG TEN OPENER

Do not underestimate Wisky. Bucky Badger can win this game by controlling the ball and clock with their powerful running and short passing. OSU may also play into Wisky's hands if a rusty Miller makes turnovers. In the end, OSU's athleticism and home night crowd advantage allow the Buck's to win by...
