Re: SOC1/SOC2 Predictions

How does Valley's and the Burg's football playoff participation effect their chances of winning the SOC2? Seems like an early season loss because of football cobwebs could alter league outcomes despite having great talent on hand.

CFP Rankings Week 12

Clemson has the easiest pathway. Ohio State the most difficult. Bedlam looking to be monumental. Would an undefeated Okie State not get in against a one loss Notre Dame? The BIG looking strong as a conference. College Football Playoff Rankings 1 Clemson 10-0 2 Alabama 9-1 3 Ohio State 10-0 4 Notre D...

Re: Best Team in your Program's History

For an old curmudgeon, Waverly's teams 1967-1969 would have my vote. A know the latest generation of high school athletes are big, stronger, faster. and better trained, but players such as DeVito, Hance, Williams, Johnson, Schmidt, Varney, Adams, Foil, Welch, Kalfs, Downing, Dixon, and even Pekala ...

UConn Vs. TOSU (Women's Basketball)

Defending women's national champions put a 100 to 56 beat down on the 7th ranked Buckeye women's team. To borrow a phrase, UConn played grown man's basketball. What is scary is that TOSUw is one of the better teams in the BIG and the nation. http://espn.go.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/14...

Turnovers and mental mistakes will determine the outcome. I pray the outcome does not come down to TOSU having to kick a field goal.

Re: CFB UPSETS for 11/14/15

The top 5 of Clemson, Bama, TOSU, Notre Dame, and Iowa all win, with the Tide and Domers having the easiest wins while everyone else struggles
to some extent. Do two one loss teams ( Bama and ND) rank first and second on the next poll?

Re: OHIO STATE@ILLINOIS===== YOUR THOUGHTS

The important things to take away from the game is that TOSU is 10-0 and still in the hunt for the BIG and CFP championships. First of all, credit the Illini defense. They kept pressure on Barrett and the receivers, and held Elliott to short gains until late in the third quarter. The good: Ezekiel E...

Re: OHIO STATE@ILLINOIS===== YOUR THOUGHTS

I heard something the other day that was disturbing,before Sparty got beat Bucks were in the drivers seat and even if they lost at TTUN they still probably would have won the East due to the 5th tiebreaker,but with Sparty losing that means TTUN is in the drivers seat now if they win out.Of course t...

Re: Chillicothe to host games fri and sa

Any chance in years to come that Waverly could be a playoff game site say, for D6 or D7? Seating capacity does not appear large enough to host bigger schools, but with the new field turf, field house, and somewhat adequate parking, old Radiger Field looks attractive. What are the OHSAA requirements...

Former OSU Coach John Cooper to Recieve 2016 Stagg Award.

John Cooper won 192 games over a head-coaching career (1977-2000) at Tulsa, Arizona State and, most notably, Ohio State. His 111 wins at Ohio State rank second behind Woody Hayes. While Cooper is not held in high esteem by Buckeye fans due to his teams inability to beat M*chigan on a regular basis, ...

Tracy Claeys New Head Football Coach at Minnesota

Minnesota has signed Tracy Claeys to a three year contract as head football coach of the Golden Gophers. Claeys was named as interim head coach when Jerry Kill resigned due to health reasons last month. Claey apparently had been on Kill's staff for twenty one years. It appears Claeys, like Kill, is ...

The complete rankings are at the link. Pay attention to the strength of schedule rankings. Clemson and Bama have the easiest pathways to qualify while Notre Dame needs to get by 7th ranked Stanford. The Buckeyes have the hardest pathway to qualify with MSU, M*ch, and probably Iowa. Looks like the Co...

Thank You Cardale Jones

Although his career as starting QB at TOSU appears to be over, Buckeye fans owe this young man a huge thank you. 11-0 as a starter including the magical three game run to the national championship in 2014. I have been a harsh critic of his on field performance so far this season, but Jones has earne...

Re: Salve Regina 49 Maine Maritime 14(New England Football Conference)

I have attended a few SoCon and Big South football games since being expatriated to South Carolina. 1AA and smaller football divisions offer a more honest level of play which I find more enjoyable than a P5 matchup. We should celebrate Regina and Maritime and rest of small time college football that...

Re: OHIO STATE@ILLINOIS===== YOUR THOUGHTS

Regardless of who start at QB, the Bucks will struggle against the Illini. Change at QB and play calling to suit that QB is detrimental to cohesion of the offense, etc.. As to Miller, did he suffer a concussion versus Minny? If so, is he done for his career at TOSU? As to Meyer, has he become indeci...
