Oak Hill with a win over Valley

Oak Hill softball is definitely on the rise. Hear good things about South Websters pitching.

Well I guess everybody has brought the popcorn, should be a good year for concessions.

I'll go first but only going to give top six, it's a toss up after that. 1. Ironton- really good 2. Oak Hill- returning 7 starters and added a nice catcher 3. Burg- good pitching and always hits 4. Notre Dame - great group of solid players 5. Northwest - really impressed by them last year 6. Minford...

Start of the season is a month away lets get your team reports in. Who's is going to make a run this year ( I know, the burg). Who will be a surprise.

The good news is the area is loaded with young talent so we all can enjoy watching them for years to come. Watched several of the SOC teams just dominate the Waverly Friday night league last year.

not sure on Ironton and I think Piketon got out

Back to meaningful conversation, any new teams in the league this year.

All good teams but I would put Oak Hill ahead of the Burg and Notre Dame at the fourth spot. Have watched all these teams play and the league should be great this year. If Clay returns the team from last year you can put them in the top 5 also.

Since we are talking about travel ball. What would it take to keep our girls in southern Ohio? I’m talking an 8u to 18u organization with quality coaches and organized. This should be good.

Burg will have another strong pitcher and several good players around her but to say that other teams in the league don't have talented players. COME ON MAN!

I’m sure Clay, Minford and Ironton will be tough but Northwest was really impressive last year. People think I’m crazy for saying this but a lot of the Jr High teams in the SOC schools could compete with most varsity teams in the area.

They also had two wins over the Burg 7th grade last year and started 5 sixth graders.

Oak Hill Jr high will be solid, at least 9 travel players on the field and solid pitching.

Let’s get the early predictions out on the SOC. I will go first and take the Burg to win the SOC II. Any new coaches? Who are the teams to watch?
