Re: Ironton leaving the SEOAL
Mouth! Chill! I was makin' a joke! That is exactly what I think too...if Triplett went back to Ironton he would HAVE to have armour, the way he got received by the coaches there...the rumor was that one had stomach aches, one couldn't see, one didn't have time, etc etc. Guess all those things got c...

Re: Ironton leaving the SEOAL
Lou and Paul have been doing it since I was in school. Mike retired and then came back and has coached several years. I haven't heard any of htem are calling it quits maybe just wishful thinking on your part. I do know Bob, seems like you have a problem with him.I have talked to him many times. He ...

Re: Portsmouth Moving to the SOC
I have been told by one individual....... and you cannot get a better source than this.......this individual will remain anonymous.......that Portsmouth will not go back to independent status, whether that means being in the SEOAL or the SOC. I would like to see Portsmouth stay in the SEOAL, and I ...

Re: Portsmouth Moving to the SOC
We always think about football but there are other sports both boys and girls. Over the last few years Ironton would have struggled beating many of the teams in the SOC II in many of the sports. I also think if they try to join the SOC they will want Ironton to have a soccer team for both girls and ...

Please read the article and tell me what you think. I always have problems with a paper that does not print the sources.

Re: Ironton leaving the SEOAL
Coach Lutz has never said he couldn't deal with kids these days. Unless you heard that first hand, I know that is not true. I love how people start rumor -- it is what small towns are all about. Happy New Year! I heard it from one of his Coaches. You seem to know Bob well I would ask him this quest...

Portsmouth Moving to the SOC
In the Ironton paper it was mentioned in the sports page that Portsmouth was asking to be voted into the SOC. Is this true or is it something the Ironton press is pushing because Ironton is looking for league to move into. By allowing Portsmouth into the league it would open a door for Ironton. Your...

Re: Who's going to be the top 10 football teams in Ky. & OH.
I think the teams to beat again this year will be not in any order 1. Wheelersburg - Alot returning 2. Ironton - If they can get their Coaching problems corrected 3. Raceland 4. Logan 5. Minford - Good QB 6. West - Is Young 7. South Point - Has a great deal back 8. Portsmouth ? 9. NY 10. Sherdian 11...

Re: Ironton leaving the SEOAL
I guess I never thought of this until yesterday when I talked to one of the Ironton Coaches but who is going to be the head Coach next year. After the last game Bob told the staff he would have to think about next year because of the problems during the game. He is not sure he can deal with the kids...

Re: Lawerence vs. Scioto
Bleeding Red I agree with the figure head part but I also understand why people defend Coach Bob. I guess the question I would ask who would be the head coach of the Lawerence county team if Bob was not?

Re: Lawerence vs. Scioto
Boys lets look at it realistically. Ironton owns scito county basically or really Coach Lutz owns scioto county. Then what you guys what to do is give him a bunch of all stars from Lawrence county to play with. Im sorry boys just going by the coaches Scioto county has nothing for Lawrence county. B...

Re: Ironton leaving the SEOAL
If anyone watched the Ohio State playoffs all the Southern Ohio teams are far from winning the state. Just looking at the team speed all over the field was impressive. The money and the Coaching staffs that these teams had in the final games were way too much for 99% of the Southern Ohio Teams. Over...

Re: Ironton leaving the SEOAL
Ok we havent won in the past few years and we havent been since 99, but in that time thinking like that has gotten us a lot farther than teams that just think about winning their league. Again you have never been to the top so you dont know any better than to aspire to be more than a league champio...

Re: Ironton leaving the SEOAL
All this talk of league titles. I dont see where its coming from. So you win your league unless you are in one of those huge leagues like what the Greater Catholic league or something like that in Cinncinnati or what that other one that encompasses most of the teams in Columbus I cant remember the ...
