Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2012
Explain the lack of productivity of the football first guys then, cause L.J. Adams was a football first guy......Mason Jordan.......Alex Grashel.....................many other kids..I can name several others....that were football first guys...........I still say that's overrated.....>We just flat ou...

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2012
Got the chance to check out several days of Training camp with our Trojans and while I'm no guru or anything of the sorts, some key notes of interest...... The QB situation at a glance: Brandon Wedebrook.....Jacob Albrecht.....Isiaiah Lisath...with Austin Hollins getting reps as a freshman. The back...

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2012
With camp starting today whats the latest on the Trojans? I assume we are still up in the air about who this years QB will be. What I have heard it could be weedeebrock albrecht or Oliver? Any news on this front would be more then interesting. We should have some of the better backs that we have se...

Re: Bannon Park Classic Returns
The Portsmouth Trojans came into Sunday on the brink of elimination in the Bannon Park Classic in the double elimination tournament, having already lost a game on Saturday to Gatti's pizza(a group made up of Shawnee State players), so in order to stay off elimination the young Trojans needed to dig ...

Any local players playing in this? Cam Miller, Tory Horne, Dion Mc Kinely, Evan Legg, Austin Mc Master, Andrew Roseberry are a few I have heard of. I didn't know some of those guys were playing....but I do know former shawnee state bear Justin Horne is playing.....former PHS ballers Wayne Evans, po...

Re: Bannon Park Classic Returns
While Buffalo Wild Wings is a good establishment......I'd venture to say, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not embellishing upon some great food that they will be selling right their in the vicinity of the courts.....grills will be fired up...and I'd bet that you couldn't get at Buffalo Wild ...

Re: Deep SouthEast Ohio D3 this season.
I think Ironton is the pretty obvious favorite in our region but Piketon, Minford, Peebles, and North Adams should all be strong as well. Some other teams that should have a decent year are Southeastern Ross, Huntington, Wheelersburg, Belpre, Valley, Zane Trace, and potentially Eastern Brown/Lynchb...

Re: Chillicothe Coach Gary Kellough Steps Down
Wow! From the outside looking in....as a Trojan fan, I would have to say job well done. i don't know how most of the cav nation feels about Coach Kellough but one Chilli fan I talk to from time to time told me he didn't like Coach Kellough. But his reasoning was because, "Anyone could've won wi...

Re: Bannon Park Classic Returns
Wow! talk about full circle.....2 years ago the Portsmouth community was buzzing after Andrew Bendolph led the Trojans to the BPC finals as the first ever high school team ever to play in the finals of the "classic" Now, here we are again, though I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Ky're Alli...

I heard that Jayllen and Zac Carter are Cousins, anyone know for sure? Yeah they're cousins.....I don't know if you noticed them or if you were even at the game or not, but at the Regional final game betweeen PHS and Ironton...they were jawing at each other......Jayllen's mom noticed it and was afr...

Great assessment on the prospects for next year by all the posters here!! Just to give an added rundown........Jayllen Carter = long range marksman....uber-athletic. Sky Oliver=dynamic court vision.....Ky're Allison=THE prospect....Cody Stapleton=combo guard...can play both the 1 & 2 guard.........

I was wondering how Carter only gets third team? Amazing I agree, unbelievable and Fletcher Special Mention...WOW Carter (24 GAMES) 119 (2 pointers), 44 (3 pointers) and 161 (made Free Throws). 531 Points = 22.1 PPG 94 Rebounds = 4.1 RPG 74 Steals = 3.1 SPG 161 of 186 Free Throws = 86.6% Fletcher (...

This game is not Mckinley vs. McMasters.....it's Portsmouth vs. Chesapeake. Which TEAM is best will come out on top....not an individual sport!

Re: District Final 3/10: Lucasville Valley vs. Portsmouth
As a Portsmouth fan, many of us have been itching for this mythical rematch with the team that sent us home packing two years ago. I know most of the players were wanting a crack at em last year. This year is no different from the fan/ player stand point. If you polled many of us, Valley is the team...

Over the past two decades it is very difficult to argue anyone is better then Wheelersburg. If I had to rank programs in SEO in the past 20-25 years it would go like this. 1. Wheelersburg 2. Chesapeake 3. Ironton 4. Portsmouth 5. Belpre 6. South Webster 7. North Adams 8. Greenfield Mc 9. Eastern Me...

jon diebler of southeastern of ohio doesn't even score... i'm guessing you're talking about Evan French...so if you are, I'm surprised that....even despite the foul trouble that the Warriors didn't make sure he got more field goal attempts.....I believe he only shot once but no more than twice the ...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
I only mentioned a complex because that was an impromptu rant by Peake Hoops! We aren't ranked anywhere ahead of Chesapeake in none of the polls that I've seen, including Pfloyd's list. However, he felt the need to mention us as if we are ahead. As a Portsmouth fan, I'm mainly focusing on us. Not C...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
I really have a problem with Portsmouth possibly being the number 1 team in southern ohio, because they beat Chilli twice, this team has lost 6 games ,and only beat a Gallia Academy team by 12 points at Gallia. On the other end of the spectrum, the Panthers beat Gallia by 38 points at Gallia. The Panthe...
