They are supposed to put the results up on gahssports.com but I don't think they've touched the 2008 season yet. I hope they will be putting them up soon.

Stats are up on gahssports.com.
Gallia times looked really slow even considering the heat.

The only one on GA girl's team that was racing was P Adkins. The rest of the team tried to help out some of the less experienced runners. The heat was brutal and probably caused the times to be at least 20-30 secs slow.

Is it really about if the older sister beats the little sister? The Adkins are two of the best runners this area/state has seen and that will never change. Who cares if the younger one beats the older one?? Anyone who knows cross country and knows the Adkins family knows that Lauren and Peyton are both GREAT girls and both have great futures ahead of them! Good luck to both of them! :)

Great Job Peyton! What happened to the 3 oldest girls? It must have been really hot.

McKenna looked like she was racing quite well. But isn't that course always marked off pretty good so you don't get confused?? It must have been really hot for all three older girls to cross the finish line at the same time.

Great Job gallia! Good luck to the boys and girls on the team!

The older girls were running together intentionally to help a younger runner. This is a concept that is used sometimes to help bring a young one along and is good for the team. I could tell by watching the older Gallia girls during the race - that this is what they were doing and explains why they crossed the line together. I'm sure it will pay dividends down the road.
