Good looking list I would say Brookhaven will do well in most of the sprints and jumping events they should be near the top. Circleville should score everywhere, and so should Wilmington.

This is a great looking relay meet with alot of Quality athletes and teams competing. We probably won't see any real fast times due to the cold on Saturday but I see some really close finishes.

The Girls side I don't know how many girls teams will be able to compete with Galia's speed in the sprints.

I just got home from this meet.....didn't stick around for official results because it was just too cold. I know some individual efforts, but since this was a 3 person relay......not sure how that went. I know that Luke Watts from GAHS set a PR in the PV at 13'6" (Tied Logan and Chilly but won on #misses). I also know that GAHS girls won the LJ (Geiger went something like 16'5" and Barnes went 14'5"),GA girlswon the 4X2 in 1:49.2. GAHS girls had to run the 4X1 by themselves and ended up dropping the baton in the last exchange. GAHS girls won the 4X1600. I thought the GAHS boys have made a drastic improvement over last year......they have a lot of pretty good freshmen out and a couple of new upperclassmen.

Girls Results
1.Wilmington 92
2.Logan 77
3.Washington C.H. 75
4.Galia Academy 62
5.Teays Valley 50
6.Chillicothe 40
7.Southeastern 26
8.Westfall 20
9.Brookhaven 9

Top 4 teams
Wilmington was solid overall they had alot of girls and scored well in every event.
Logan lots of depth i was impressed by their High Jumpers and throwers.
Washington C.H. looked good despite losing 9 seniors last year who all made it to the regional and 3 who made up the 4x100 that made it to state.
finished a solid 3rd, WCH whole team did a great job! Way to Go Lions!
Galia got hosed in the 4x100 by having to run alone, it was a random draw.

If this had been a invitational I think Galia would have won this meet it was a great way to open the season there were some tough teams .

I don't like relay meets either.....but I don't thnk there were any invites in the area. It's hard to compete when you only have about 14 kids and some of them aren't 100%. Overall, I think it was a pretty well run meet. The men's HJ was started pretty late, and yes, GAHS was kinda hosed in the 4X1, but the reason I was given was not a random draw, they said it was because we didn't check in on the first call. The same thing happened in he sprint medley. I wasn't really expecting Wilmington girls to win, I thought Logan would take the win.

I don't mind the relay meets its great for the younger kids, at Washington C.H. this year we only have 23, so I was happy with our finish, especially with alot of freshman competing.

Wilmington winning does not surprise me there program is always tough they have a very good summer track program, and most of there kids are in it.I thought Logan and Wilmington would battle it out for the title. I would have liked to see the order of events a little different. This weekend we goto London for another relay meet, there will be 16 teams, all from the Columbus area.[/color]

I never ran a Relay Meet when I was in High School. Mostly because we didnt have much of a team and partly because we always ran the invite at Williamstown the first week.
