Edge for 2018

Post by noreply66 »

TVC

Boys

In the Hocking it looks like Belpre[1] has a big edge followed by....Waterford[2], Southern[3], Wahama [4]Trimble and Miller[5/6] might have to be decided in the 4x400, Eastern[7] and Federal Hocking/South Gallia[8/9]

In the Ohio I will go with The Buckeyes[1] followed by Athens[2], River Valley/Meigs/Alexander[3/4/5],Vinton Cty [6] Wellston[7]

Girls

The Hocking looks to have Eastern and Waterford to battle for the top spot. I would say Eastern [1] Waterford [2] Wahama [3], Belpre [4], Southern[5], Trimble [6] Federal Hocking [7], Miller [8]

The Ohio will have a run away with Athens [1], Alexander [2], Nelson/York [3], Vinton Cty [4], River Valley [5], Meigs [6], Wellston [7].

SOC

Boys

I can see Wheelersburg and Waverly fighting it out for first. This just might come down to what team can score the most points in the last two running events. Minford will hang with the top two but will come up shot to finish [3].Northwest and Valley could also be looking at the last two event to see who takes [4/5]. Even Green and Oak Hill might gather around to watch the 4x400 [6/7].It looks like Scioto, Notre Dame and West will pushing to see how [8/9/10 goes.

Girls

The girls top two will be just like the boys. It might be one of these two hoping the other gets a DQ in the 4x400. Notre Dame at this time looks strong enough for [3]. Oak Hill and Northwest [4/5], Valley and Minford will battle the other in the 4x400 to see which one takes 6/7, [8]should go to West.

SHAC

Boys

Fairfield looks like they will run away with the SHAC this year. [2] Could be a battle between Eastern, North Adams, West Union, Peebles and Whiteoak. 2 thur 6 could be separated by a dozen points and with errors any of these 5 could take [2]. It is also looks too close between the bottom four to pick 7 thur 10.

Girls

Looks like Fairfield and Eastern will be the front runners. Could very well be the 4x4 winner taking it. Peebles has a good chance to jump into the 2nd spot, but it will take a few things to happen [3]. Looks like Lynchburg will be a solid [4]. West Union and Fayetteville should be in the 5/6 spots. Whiteoak should take [7].North Adams, Ripley and Manchester are the bottom three.

SVC

Boys

With good speed and hurdlers I will say Paint Valley takes the championship in the SVC.[1] Unioto at [2]. Zane Trace will be a solid [3], Piketon at [4], Southeastern [5], Westfall and Huntington should battle for [6/7], it is possible Adena could get into the [7]

Girls

The girls from Unioto could be one of the best in southeatern, Ohio [1], Zane Trace will have no problem taking [2], Southeastern and Piketon are close to each other [3/4], If Westfall can find some speed they could jump into the #[4] spot, Adena, Paint Valley and Huntington should go [6/7/8]

PVC

Boys

Fort Frye will take this title [1], Shenandoah has speed and if they can take 3 out of 4 in the relays they just might catch FF.[2], Caldwell will make a good showing with their distance runners but field events are not their cup of tea.[3], River looks to be a solid [4], Monroe Central and Frontier [5/6].

Girls

Looking for Shenandoah in a run away [1], Caldwell will take the [2] spot, If River can find some help in the distance and field they could push Caldwell [3], Monroe is a solid [4], Fort Frye easily takes [5] followed with Frontier.

OVC

Boys

Portsmouth and Fairland are the front runners. If Portsmouth can get a little more in the field events the OVC championship is theirs. [1/2], Chesapeake and Rock Hill will fight for [3/4], Dawson-Bryant should be [5], South Point and Gallia going after [6/7], Ironton in the basement.[8]

Fairland is all alone at the top [1], Dawson-Bryant [2], Portsmouth at [3], Ironton and Gallia will battle for [4/5], South Point, Chesapeake and Rock Hill 4x400 winner might get the #6 spot [6/7/8]

FAC

Boys

This is one of the better balanced conferences where the last place team could push 100 points with some luck. Hillsboro should take [1], Chillicothe /Washington could come down to the 4x400.[2/3], McClain and Miami Trace could be knocking heads for 4/5, Jackson will really miss out on some solid points due to injuries which could have totaled in the area of 40 points in a 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 system.[6]

Girls

The FAC girls are very balanced too. Wouldn't want to put too much money on a winner between Chillicothe and Washington. These two would be in my top five SEO best. Miami Trace will get out of the box slow and will not beable to stay with C&W.[3], McClain doesn't look to have the 16/32 runners to do any better than [4], Jackson and Hillsboro will score in a lot of the events but most of them will be in the lower half. [5/6].
