Colt Yinger 1st did a nice job got moved up to the next weight class and beat a very tough kid in the best 2 out of 3 a kid Colt has never beaten. Collin Yinger got beat up he went 0-2 lost to a kid from New Mexico by pin and Tech Fall did much better second match. Thomas Mclaughlin 1st he went 3-0 over some pretty tough kids his toughest match was 12-1 he is putting some things together and doing well. Jacob Coon got bumped into the high school divison and went 0-3 but wrestled well lost to the Indiana state champ and good kid senior from Bedfor Michigan. It took us 7 hours to get to Toledo in the Blizzard but we made it. It took us 4 hours to get back plus we stopped and ate. This was a great trip.

I take it that the others listed didn't go, probably because of the weather??? If they did, how did they do. It's o.k. to get beat in these open tournaments...it teaches you what you need to work on and makes you that much tougher!

The other 5 kids wanted to go but their parents couldnt get out of their driveway or felt it was too much of a risk to drive thru central ohio.
Great job to the boys who did go. You did NY proud, As always!

nybucks70-80...Of all times to have a storm! lol! The only thing I don't miss about wrestling is driving through some crummy weather! The stories I could share.

Next weekend the Jr High will be at the convo for States. All eight 8th graders qualified.
Easter weekend some of the Buckeyes will be going to Charleston WV for the Cliff Keen Eastern World championships. Others are talking about going to Caldwell. Then its Grade School States!
