let's hear your opinions here.
Should a kid be allowed to quit one sport (during season) and start preparing for another sport? ex: quitting football to prepare for basketball.
Should a kid be allowed to quit one sport and join another sport during the same season? ex: quitting basketball and joining wrestling.

Re: Quitting A Team
chillicothe has a good policy going...
if a kid quits a sport(wrestling), he/she can not start working out for another sport until the sport(wrestling) is over... the coach(wrestling) could release him by writing a letter stating that he is released to do whatever they want....
i wont go out of my way to write a letter for a kid that quits my sport during the season...i personally dont care if a kid wants to start on another sport or not, but sorry, im not taking time out for a kid that quits...
some have told me to get over it and let the kid move on with their life... i think it is teaching that making a commitment to something means sticking it out i.e. doing what the PARENTS should be doing in the first place!
