Nelsonville-York crowns another State Champ

The Buckeyes crowned their 4th State champ and 3rd in 4 years. Dakota Mays dominated his way to his 1st title. Coach Matt Yinger 1989, Thomas McLaughlin 2012, Zach Mays 2012 and Dakota Mays 2015 lead the way for the Buckeyes which have claimed more state titles than any team in Southeast Ohio. With a very talented and young team the Buckeyes will be sure to add to this number in the years to come. Very proud of the program we have put on the mat year in and year out.

With Mays winning a title, that gives Southeastern Ohio 7 state champs since 2010. that's as many has the previous 40 years combined.

That would be a great feat! In 2012 NY had two state champs and two placers and finished 4th in the state.
