Other than the NY boys, are there any other wrestlers in SEO that will make some noise at The Schott???

New Lex has a couple kids who could place. That's about it unless you count ZT and Circleville as SEO. But there is always a surprise qualifier/placer!

I think Belpre had a young man place last year. I can't remember his name and I don't know if he was a senior or not.

Belpre has not had a qualifier in a few years but the Gilbert kid 145 will be right there this year. Zane Trace, New Lex, Sheridan, Brady Garren Logan are the best shots of top of my head, I am sure there are more.

About the NY boys. Right now I can picture NY sending 6 to Columbus with 4-5 having a good shot at placing and at least 2 having a good shot at winning it all!

He is a good one

Freshman Todd Fouts and Sophomore Ian Joyce have wrestled well for Trimble this year.

Jack Hillyer at Alexander. I believe he is a freshman that has a bright future.

I may catch some flak for this one since he isn't in Ohio but over at Parkersburg South, WV (just across the river from Belpre) The Braxton Amos kid has flat out dominated everyone this year. Won the Iron man tournament and is ranked 4th nationally at 220...and he's only a sophomore. They've wrestled some really good teams as well this year in St. Edwards, Wadsworth and La Salle. I know NY has wrestled them in the past few years at least once and Belpre used to have dual meets with them here and there. Really strong team ranked 26th in the nation I believe.


As far as Ohio kids, I've heard a lot about the Kellar kid from Warren as well as a few from NY. Gilbert from Belpre is also a solid one.

Liam Kellar is in top twenty at DII 152, he has pinned DII ranked kid and beat Bishop Heartly's ranked Petrela 5-1. Lost a two point decision to #7 Munyan from Sheridan

Sam Jones could probably recover from his injury in a big way and come back and break multiple state records on behalf of Eastern High School. The kid is a monster on the mat. He'll be hard to stop this year.

The Amos boy is a stud best wrestler in this area
