Results of Girls Sectional Tournament

Congratulations to all the players who will represent our area in the Division II district tournament next week at Shawnee State University's tennis complex in Portsmouth. Both singles and doubles will be held at the SSU tennis complex beginning on Tuesday, October 13 at 9:00 am.

Here are the results of the sectional playoffs held Wednesday, October 7 at Mound Park in Portsmouth:

SINGLES:
#1 Seed Courtney Pierron (Wheelersburg) defeated Molly Mollica (Athens) 6-0 6-0
#2 Seed Ashleigh Link (Portsmouth) defeated Lauren Hoffman (Waverly) 6-2 6-0
#3 Seed Rachel Appleton (Notre Dame) defeated Leda Daehler (Portsmouth) 6-4 6-1
#4 Seed Caroline Khoury (Portsmouth) defeated Elizabeth Johnston (Unioto) 6-3 6-3

The seeding for the district tournament is as follows:
