Like I said, I won't be surprised if they win. I'd like to be there when it happens. Symmes Valley is probably my 2nd favorite team in Lawrence County and I always want them to succeed.

I honestly don't think the Chesapeake 04 team was one of the top 5 of all time.
1999, 84, 75, 61, 2000, 02, in my opinion were all better.

Mattash,

I don't think your memory serves you correctly. The 1999 team drilled the Vikings 42-7 that game. It was close at the half, and then Chesapeake exploded.

The 98 game was close, but I don't remember SV rushing for 400 yards either.

It's hard to tell who will win this game, bc sv has beat 2 teams that weren't good at all, and Chesapeake has lost to 2 pretty good teams..

I was sad to hear some one say that symmes valley looked fast, chesapeake's small backs are quick but not fast, and you can beat this peake team with good size, or good speed,
peake learns lessons by losing, and given the chance wont win but i bet both games would be a lil' closer, symmes valley needs to come out fast, and the panthers will not have an answer, let the peake hang and we will hit you deep with a pass or run or punt or kick return somthing, int whatever

i'd say the 04' peake team my senior year, was top 6, we had some weapons, but to try to number them besides the 2000 team is pointless, 04' symmes valley was one of the better i've seen, they knew how to play, we had them out manned in every position on the field, and their defense held us tight, their offense was a no show that game though (thank god)
would have been a great game later in the season too, more offense

Your right the 99 Peake dominated SV (tied at the half) but the year before SV dominated in every category but the scoreboard. Ask Andy he will admit to it.

And again, I said the '04 team was "possibly" one of the top 5 Peake teams ever. But it doesn't look like I missed by much judging from Peake's and 32's responses.
So in '04 you had one of Chesapeake's top 6 teams ever against one of Symmes Valley's two best teams ever (IMO their best ever).

As for this game, I'll predict that the Vikings dominate the stat sheet, but a costly turnover will give Chesapeake their 20th straight victory in the series.

Chesapeake - 14

Symmes Valley - 12

It should be a great game, though.

 That's awesome! I think the same could have been said for my class at Coal Grove. I remember a coach telling us before a game, "You know you can beat 'em in a street fight, now go beat 'em on the field!"

Dang! I'm not going to be able to get to go to this one, but I'll be pulling for the Vikings in this one almost as much as I will for the Hornets!

End of 3d quarter S.V. 21 - C 7
S.V. 21 - C 21 end of 4th
each team scored in first and second OT
Chesapeake scores and wins in 3 OT

mattash wrote:Yeah that was Symmes Valley went deep in the playoffs.

The year before that was a better game. Chesapeake had a 1500 yard rusher in Hunt and SV kept him under 20 yards.

your right mattash. they lost 25-12 to danville in the regional finals that season
