Believe it or not, this will happen in 2 or 3 years. How about the Buckcats! School colors orange and black with silver trim!

Trimble's school colors are very similar to the old Nelsonville Greyhounds colors of scarlet and grey.

If this happens I want Nelsonville to keep their mascot , But with Trimble Colors. Then We could be like OSU

Trimble will be split up into 5 districts when folded, They will at that time become who ever they join. Coaches are already looking for other jobs.

If Nelson/York and Trimble go together---Athens will have to get Alexander to come on board

Seems to me like that's a pretty long name for a school, but consolidations are coming all over. I believe Paden City WV is about to fold its tent and move the students to Magnolia or Tyler Consolidated since the county line goes right thru PC.

I say keep the Orange and Brown and be the Bucks! A lot of Hunters in the area so maybe shorten it from Buckeyes to Bucks when they consolidate... I would be ok with conceding the colors to stay the Buckeyes... it would be tough tho... Man there would be a lot of decisions to make... Could they go back to the 2nd choice when we became Buckeyes and become the Rebels?

It wont be consolidation, Trimble would be absorbed by the other schools around them.
If the school would have to close it would just close. The students would be absorbed into the Morgan,Miller,Fed hock, NY, Athens schools. Dont think it will happen soon. But if they strike that could really put things in fast forward.

If Trimble was absorbed, what percentage of kids would go to NY? Basically I'm just curious as to which division they would be in if this does happen.

If all of Trimble went to NY today, NY would be Division III, at least in the beginning. The student population in Trimble Township is declining rapidly. I think looking at things long-term, it would be a larger D IV school, but initally, it would be D III. I think NY + Trimble today would be about the same size as Gallia Academy is today. That would be the most similar school in the region in terms of student population.

Nelsonville-York Buckeyes + Trimble Tomcats = The Nimble Catnuts! And lets not think about the colors for that.
