Great game still kinda disappointed in the crowd. I heard only 12 kids was on the pep bus. The cold is really keeping people away.

Crazy proud of the Valley program. In the last 5 years from a program they said wouldnt be able to compete with the big boys:

46-4 regular season
8-3 playoffs
54-7 overall
3 SOC 2 championships
2 regional runner up
1 regional championship

I have watched a lot of football games, but Centerburg played the dirtiest game I have ever seen, and its not even close. They had 8-9 personal fouls and were intentionally trying to hurt Valley players after the whistle.

As for the game, Valley dominated, Centerburg never stopped Valley, only Valley stopped themselves (INT, 3 penalties after half time, then bad snap for -20 yards on next series). The o-line really dominated the game, totally moving Centerburg all over the field and opening huge holes for the runners.

Valley's defense played a pretty good game minus the first series. Centerburg threw it all over the field and Valley let them move it between the 20's but really tightened when they needed to. Valley dropped 4 INT's and allowed Centerburg to convert on probably 10 3rd and longs (6 on the TD drive in the 3rd alone)

Awesome win and can't wait to watch the Indians in the State semifinal next week!

CONGRATULTIONS from Orlando. Now if DaBurg can pull off the upset, I'd be a happy man.

Chicken_Coop,

Thanks for the numbers over the past 5 years. I was wondering what they were. First, Congrats to Coach Crabtree, Coach Rolfe, the players and the entire Valley community. You earned it and deserve it. Regional Champs is a great accomplishment. That feat puts you in the record books. The entire community should be proud of you. But you must remain focused on the next game.

Over the past 5 years, Valley has been the benchmark of Southern Ohio football. They have been the team others have tried to beat. They have had the target on their backs game after game. It was not always like that but it is now. For the past 3 or 4 years, other teams were trying to get the monkey off their back and beat Valley. That is a sign of being "The Program". Last year Valley got hit hard with graduation so what do they do? Put new players in place and win the Region! That Is what a championship program does. I am most impressed with the job Valley has done with their football program and all their athletic programs.

Best of luck this week in preparing and be ready to "Roll Tribe"!

After the 2011 football season, people said that Valley would drop off because of the graduation of such a great class, last season the same thing was said. The single thing that has not changed is the coaching staff. The coaches have to have players with talent, but talent alone doesn't guarantee success! The 2011 team showed how to win! This years team has showed us what can be accomplished by working hard and getting better each week! CONGRADULATIONS to the players and big thanks to the coaches.
