Chillicothe(31) @ (17)Jackson FAC Championship Game 10/27/2017

Post by ironman02 »

It's officially time for championship week. As expected, the Ironmen and Cavs are left standing and will battle for the outright FAC Championship in Week 10 at Alumni Stadium.

Both teams still have playoff hopes as well, and both are in similar situations. Win and they're in. Lose and they're likely out unless they get a lot of help.

Since this rivalry was renewed in 2006, most of the games have been extremely close, and we might see another classic to decide a championship and a trip to the playoffs.

Not picking anyone on this one. Two good teams going at it in the last game of the regular season.

I look for the Ironmen to win by 2 maybe 3 scores. It will be a great game no doubt.

What a game. Taking Chillicothe by 5 for the first chip.

Maughmer goes off in this game to put the Cavs over the top by 14. The kid gets a step on you and it’s over!

Go Cavs!

WK 10: Chillicothe (7-2) @ Jackson (8-1) FAC Championship Game

Post by Ohio1234 »

Both Teams are riding high with not only the inaugural FAC championship on the line but also a playoff birth in two of the most loaded regions in the state. Chillicothe is at 9 in region 8 and controls their own destiny and Jackson is at 8 in region 11 and control their own destiny. Is it Friday yet? This one is going to be a classic, the atmosphere in Jackson is going to be electric. This one will be close I like Chillicothe 35-28 but could go either way Go Cavs !

My pick is Chilli. But should be a close one. The more important point is that both Chilli and Jackson should feast on this creme puff league for years and years to come. Both will win a lot of games against lesser competition which will do nothing to prep them for the playoffs. But it's southern football so you can't expect better.

Not sure why you have so much hate towards the league, but this league will be just fine as far as all sports go! Maybe your team is not doing as well in the league your in and you feel like you need to make fun of other leagues, or maybe your team can't win the league your in and your upset you can't get in our league . Not sure but the league is a good fit for all teams involved.

I am going to go with Jackson by a touchdown , should be a great game and it could come down to special teams and if thats the case I definitely give the edge to Jackson.

Yeah, these two teams should probably play Shadyside, Meigs, Minford like Logan does to help build their program. Paladin, the former failed coach bringing his wisdom to the masses.

I see Chillicothe winning this game by 2 scores, I don't see the Ironmen defense stopping Branden Maughmer and Connor Mathis. Especially what happened after last week against Washington C.H. Chillicothe's 7-2 record doesn't do justice to how good they have been playing. Looking for a great atmosphere in Jackson Friday night but I think Chillicothe will be ready to win the first ever FAC championship.

Good news is if Chillicothe beats Jackson they should be in at the 7 or 8 seed in the division 2 playoffs the bad news is they will have a date with either Cincinnati Lasalle or Cincinnati Winton Woods 🤦🏽‍♂️

I know both teams are tough but I would rather be in the playoffs with an opportunity for an upset then not!

a lot riding on this game as we all know........no better stadium in southern OH to watch a game of this magnitude and it should be rockin........ironmen ought to have a sour taste after the way last years game ended and how it ended..........they will definitely have that in their back of their minds which leads me to this........both teams are playing for the exact same type of scenarios.....championships and post season berths........but one thing the ironmen get to play with the cavaliers do not.......and that's REVENGE............ironmen physically beat up the cavs

Jackson doesn't have the horses for this one, Chilli isn't going to bang heads with them like Hillsboro did. Advantage Cavs on speed and skill especially from the QB spot. Cavs by 17 or 21.
