Can Green keep the streak?

If they win do they go to 3-0 or stay at 2-0 since it is not an OHSAA game

Green’s schedule is very odd. I assume they have trouble filling out the 10 game schedule. West Union a club team which I just don’t understand. West Union has already played 3 games and play teams like North Adams club and Peebles club. I don’t get it.

Anyways....Green by 50

I would say 3-0 on the season but 2-0 in the eyes of the OHSAA. Hope they keep the winning ways going.

ironman: hard to come up with a real schedule when you don't finish the year before due to low numbers/injuries. Hopefully a few wins this year will drum up interest (i.e. numbers) in Green's program and allow them to schedule real teams next year as there'll be no more excuses for scheduling club teams. If you have around 25-30 kids, you can compete in SOC I as it already one of the weakest football leagues in the state and only going to get weaker with Oak Hill moving up next year. Green is setting themselves up to compete well over the next few years.*

Watched this game last year.
West Union had the best QB i saw all season. If they would be in the SOC1 i had them finishing 3rd or 4th last season. Better than Green, ND, Symmes Valley, Eastern.

Injures and other issues destroyed the Bobcats last year. This year looks like the group of kids who went 7-1,6-2,6-2,6-2 in four years of Jr High.

Last year West Union aired it out and slaughtered the Bobcats. This year pass coverage for the Cats still looks to be a concern.
Green can run the ball. Their oline is as big as almost anyone's in the county. Their backs, Smith, Smith and Kingrey are all though to contain.

Look for this game to be a shootout.. who wins? Greens clock control and run game or West Unions are assualt?

They've played 2-3 years in a row now, yes West union has played other club teams because they're just trying to get football going and that's how they're starting. No big deal really, green would've had to improve a bunch to makeup the difference from what West union beat them by last year. West union takes this one by a couple scores at least. If green gets by West union could very well see them going 7-3

Does anyone know if West Union is anywhere close to becoming an official OHSAA football school?

Be a tough one with scheduling. They are in a 10 school league but only Manchester and Fayetteville are OHSAA teams and I think are both D7, WU would maybe be a D6 or D5 with their school size. Nearby schools their way also without football. They seem to be the best club team of that area but not a real great sports school anyways.

They could do a schedule like

Fayetteville
Manchester
Eastern Pike
East
Notre Dame
Northwest
East Clinton
Clermont NE
Williamsburg
And a small nearby Ky school

It would just be cool to see them grow as far as football goes and become a member.
They could throw in a Lewis County and/or Fleming County from Kentucky and a team like Fairview.

Honestly don't know, they've played club ball for a good 5 years or so I believe. Not sure if it's the school, funding or combination but I would think not being OHSAA is on the schools end. The other schools in the area this is just their 1st year for club ball, maybe they all want to enter together.

Was there a rumor awhile back that West Union was going to be admitted to the SOC-1,or mayby I just dreamed that? I'm probably wrong but I thought that also had something to do with Oak Hill going to the SOC-2 in football. Like I said, I'm probably way off on this.
