This weather crap is for the birds, safeties hind end. Definitely not like the old days but I guess OHSAA knows best. Between weather and running clocks It's getting ridiculous.

These schools are 20 minutes from each other. Why wouldn't they finish it tomorrow?
Don't know. The thing about it was there was lightning the whole first half. I couldn't believe they didn't delay it earlier.

Very surprised their wasn’t a delay earlier and even more surprised it got called as soon as it did. This one could have gotten ugly into the second half. West was just way more physical. Best of luck to the Indians the rest of the way.

There's no need, West was blowing Valley's doors off.......

coop wrote: Mon Oct 01, 2018 3:02 pm Tall order, but looking at the schedule Valley has actually played the good teams pretty close, and won the games they were supposed to. The combined record of the 4 teams the Indians have lost to is 19-6, and they were in ALL FOUR games. This team could as easily be 4-2 as it is 2-4.

As I say every week....West will know they were in a ballgame, and Valley will not quit.
If it would have went to a 2nd half there was a chance it may have got ugly. Other than the play to Spradlin, Valley offense didn't seem to be
awake except for shope. He is a fine player.

Good win for west! Good luck the rest of the way.

Typically they do unless both coaches decide to just call it, typically they do come back and finish next day. So valley coach must've said enough is enough

I dunno about that....i.dont think they quit. Id find that had to believe. They were down 3 scores, but it wasnt 56-0 or anything.

I thought this was weather related, and both teams agreed on a final score, with it being almost certian west qas going to win, was that not the case?

I have seen some crazy things happen after half. That’s why they play 4 quarters.

I wasn’t at this game but why was the game called off. It was 29-6. Not a blowout. Was the weather that bad over there?

Not sure why it was called that early. That was a halftime score. It was heading for a blowout pretty quick.

It was gonna get ugly. West is just way more physical than Valley.

Both coaches have to agree so obviously the decision came down to Crabtree, because West isn't gonna give a game away.

Talked to a longtime Valley fan at halftime and he said it's gonna get worse. Loosing almost all of the varsity skill and not much to fill in. Middle school low on numbers and may have trouble fielding a team next year.

Hard to believe how far Valley has fallen. Not too long ago they were winning the SOC multiple years and making deep playoff runs. 4 years ago they were in the state semi-final game.

SOCII football is tough. You gotta have talent. They had the run of really good talent but it isn't there now.

Sounds as if West was just to big and to strong for Valley. I still think Valleys schedule has been pretty tough this year.

Of course it was weather but let's be honest we've seen lots of games even this year games continued the next day. You are exactly right they agreed that was enough, if it was 14-0 you can bet the farm they would be finishing it on Saturday

Bad enough to postpone the game till Saturday but given West was dominating both coaches agreed that was it. Plenty of games are canceled till next day and started back up where it left off, if it was a close game they would be playing Saturday. Given the state of the game it was going to be running clock shortly
