WK1 Northwest @ Southeastern

Post by mattash »

This is actually a top 5 game for me this week.

Northwest expected to win the SOC1 pretty easily and Southeastern has Ruby

Should be a toss up.

Green might have something to say about Northwest winning SOC I now that Green's numbers are up and their best players are back playing.*

Does Ruby have enough around him to keep him from taking a beating?

Watched Ruby back in 2017 against Coal Grove in the playoffs. Kid is an athlete. Southeastern wins

Ruby is a great athlete don’t get me wrong, but their line play the past couple years has been pretty impressive as well. They have a solid core of backs with that offense that can run the rock with authority.

I know Northwest has been looking forward to this group of under classman getting to the varsity level and seem to have been successful in scrimmages.

But there’s one thing, Speed kills.

Southeastern-49
Northwest-20

I don't think anyone has said That about Northwest. They have a chance. They are still pretty young at a lot of positions. The Mohawks will be better.

The O-Line will certainly be the key for SE this year. They return their starting backfield, so if they can compete upfront, they should be able to put up some points.

The scoreboard should start out:

Ruby - 21
Northwest - 0

The game starts from that point because Ruby is worth 3 scores. He is going to put it on this year!

No actually no one has ever, but I’ve been out to there campus a few times this year, what that new head coach is doing for those boys is exactly why they are my favored team to win the SOC 1 sure Green is good but their number hurt them and always will. That’s one thing northwest will not have a problem with this year. Sit back and enjoy the show, I know I will be

Yeah, google the word futility, and the Mohawk football MaxPreps page pops up. Still it is good to see positive conversations about Northwest football. Maybe, just maybe, this is the season NW comes out a winner.

Well green has over 30 this year and have showed that low numbers doesn’t mean anything whenever they beat northwest with only 17 healthy players last season. Then went on to play for the SOC championship. Northwest may have a lot of kids, but green is loaded with talent.
