In the first matchup, the West line outplayed the Burg line both ways in the first half, but Burg made some adjustments and took care of business. I would expect those lessons learned will pick up where they left off and Burg will cruise in this one.

I'll say Burg 35-13. Gonna be some good games between these two teams again over next few seasons.*

5 touchdowns Saturday all scored by Freshmen and Sophomores. 8 underclassmen started Defense. Mostly Freshmen and Sophomores.

Maybe the deepest class with size to contribute immediately in 8th grade now.

Hope they play well Saturday. The experience they are getting right now is huge.

The improvement of West as the season has went along is impressive. I saw their 8th grade and they are skilled with good numbers and alot of size. Combine them and they will really have something.

The Burg will be ready as always. Don't discount the West Side. I think this will be a very interesting game. Just a hunch.

I agree with you guys. Great for the SOC II. Oak hill will only get better too. Should be a very competitive race with every week a big time game in league play. It should be very fun for the kids.

Burgs freshmen team is very talented and has good size on the interior also Burg has a sophmore class that has atleast 8 guys who start or see alot of playing time on varsity so Burgs future is looking very good so yeah the soc is gonna be fun to watch but I picture Burg winning atleast the next 3 soc championships if not more

Classes head to head going off of 8th grade, West has beaten those classes. Not to mention west 8th this year beat burg 30-0 at burg.

Minford senior class throttled burgs senior class in 8th grade. Same thing happened the year before with last years seniors class. Neither classes beat burg in high school. However I think burg beat Waverly in 8th

The Sophomore class at Wheelersburg beat West 28-0 in 8th grade and finished undefeated that year. Again not sure how much it means though once you get it into high school.

Yes sider blood mentioned it and I’m pretty sure it’s been proven that junior high scores are meaningless. See my reply to his post.

Nope. Last year's senior class never lost an SOC game at any level.

Both teams have good players. What really hurts West right now is numbers, but those are getting better. Starters are playing alot of snaps. That's why I referenced the middle school. They have really good numbers in both grades and alot of kids who look like they will be able to contribute early.
