Wow that's an eye opener for sure. Had to miss the game to go to my boys fall baseball game. Can't wait to see the offensive stats from this one

I left at halftime, did a fan really jump the fence and run onto the field?

Yes. A kid from Alexander took a hard hit on a Warren kick return; his helmet flew off and he stayed down. At full speed, most people just heard it and of course you see a helmet flying, it was a bit scary.

Officials didn’t see it - no flag initially - but Alexander fans were hysterical and the officials grouped together and called targeting. Police walked across the field and may have been restraining someone (I didn’t personally see that).

Watched it back immediately in slow motion from two angles; it wasn’t targeting and the kid didn’t take a shot to the helmet. They both lowered shoulders and hit shoulder to shoulder. It wasn’t the first time that kid’s helmet came off during the game and I’m sure the hit hurt, but it was not a blindside hit nor was it helmet to helmet.

The only personal foul I’ve ever seen for hitting someone too hard. You’re right, it was totally clean.

Warren faithful shouldn’t defend that hit. It was totally unnecessary in a 55-12 game.

He signed up to play a violent game. He saw Williams coming and Williams hit him square in the chest. If you don’t like it, don’t come watch. Nobody owes anyone an apology for that hit.

I would say if Warren hit like that all year they’d be better than 3-6, and have more than 2 winning seasons in 20 years… but I won’t.

Or if they would have played Alexander’s schedule they would be better than 3 and 6 also.

Tell them if they want to be TVC Champs they have to go through NY first.
Good luck to Warren the rest of the year.

Why would a D4 school play a D5 schedule? Why is a D4 school playing a D5 school? We can debate this forever. Bottom line is. Keep the integrity in the game. Have some sportsmanship. The hit was unnecessary. Pretty sure Fort Frye didn’t do that to Warren kids up 55.
