Oldtimer55 wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 10:51 pm Any specifics on Harvest Prep? Burg played them tough in the regional final last year losing 20-17. HP had a D1 running back that was a senior and they also had a 6’9 300 pound tackle that Was a senior I think ( and hope). And yes excellent team speed!
Hard to say you have to remember HP loses guys like that they just go look at other teams rosters and offer them tuition to come play at HP, so it's not that same as say a Burg losing seniors like that.
Kind of sounds like what a certain Lawrence county team does each season.
Good grief cry a river.
Any hood to great team is going to get players wanting to play for them.
Burg is no exception win the game before crying about Ironton

The comments show SEO does not understand what and who Harvest Prep is or is about. Our Warrior young men are Warriors for life. 9 yrs running, crowd or no crowd - they play and play hard. Playing before a large opponents crowd is nothing new. Our kids are thankful for 20 or 200. Too play as hard and as tough as they do without all the ppl and support other teams are use to, these kids are something special. Whatever crowd we have loves our kids as much as the opposing crowd. Coach Smith is a greater teacher and mentor to these young men as he prepares them for life. He has taugh them how to respect the opponent and is well verses in the Pitates rich tradition. They'll be ready no matter what comes. They expect a battle, and battle they is what they will do.

Wheelersburg will bring the fans no doubt it’s up to the Harvest Prep fans to do the same.
Wheelersburg is tested team that will play hard from start to finish and Prep will need to be ready.
Can Wheelersburg win yes will they don’t know that is why they play the game.
But Prep will know they was in a battle for sure.
Go Burg and good luck.

I, for one, look forward to watching our young men have another opportunity to compete at a high level and can’t wait to go to NY this Friday night!

Your response speaks volumes. All I know, the team respects the Pirate tradition, while the Warriors work hard to make their own. The Warriors will battle, give their best & move on. No matter the outcome. I'd suggest you have no clue nor have been around the Warrior program to know what you're speaking of. It will be a good game for both squads.

Really!! So Harvest Preps 50 fans don’t have far to drive!!

Burg has not played well there at all. Not even sure they have ever won there.

Burg will be ready and just like last year Prep will know they were in a dogfight!!

Good luck Pirates! Win and advance!

Does anyone know if Waverly even put in for this game? That would have been a straight shot down 23 for HP and straight up for Burg.

he just can’t believe the ohsaa doesn’t bow to captain morgan. If they hadn’t choked on that cider at the end of the year they would be playing a much easier opponent at Portsmouth this week. #waterbuffalo

Harvest Prep gets a 50-60 minute drive. Wheelersburg gets a 90 minute drive. Harvest Prep is the better seed. What’s the problem?

Oh, you know, just the annual moaning about the truly important things like “how many fans are coming.” A true SEOPS tradition that goes back a decade.

Don’t read my post then clown!!

Everything thing I said in this post azzhole is true.

HP will bring about 50 fans.

Burg is 0-3 at Nelsonville in the playoffs, so therefore Burg has never played well there.

You worry about your Tigers and West and I’ll worry about HP.
