Let’s stop pretending: Wheelersburg football isn’t what it used to be. The once-feared “Pirates” have officially dropped anchor... in mediocrity.
Remember when teams used to circle the Wheelersburg game on the calendar because it was their biggest test? Now they circle it because it’s practically a bye week. The only thing consistent lately is underperformance and excuse-making. RECRUITS!!!!!!!!!!
Let’s talk about that playbook — or should we say coloring book? Watching the offense try to move the ball is like watching a turtle do algebra. And the defense? Might as well set up folding chairs — they let everybody walk right through.
This isn't about hating — it’s about calling out the fall-off. The Friday night hype has fizzled, and unless something major changes, Wheelersburg football is at risk of becoming nothing more than a history lesson.
Sure, every program has ups and downs — but this isn’t a “down.” This is a nosedive. The ship isn’t sailing anymore — it's sinking. Fast.

Burg has won their conference and been in regionals in three of the last four years, I definitely can see your point. If only they could pull in some more talent. They’d probably get over the hump. They just don’t have it right now

Trolling. Thats all. Just trying to be like that guy who only talks bad about Ironton kids. I figured since he is allowed to post crazy non-sense. I would just start slandering burg. It's fun, I know why he does it now. I'll probably start another topic about Burg again later after mods delete this one.fbnut wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 9:36 amTigersGameDayFan wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 8:49 am Let’s stop pretending: Wheelersburg football isn’t what it used to be. The fact someone spent this much time to talk bad about a program is pretty sad. Let’s be better preps. This guy has been banned multiple times and still gets hard making new accounts to degrade kids. Be. Better. Preps.
