Thee Nelsonville-York Buckeyes 2016

Post by Orange and Brown »

Looks like lots of kids are hitting it hard in the weight room and numbers will be up. That alone doesn't always translate to wins, but it is a good sign. They are going all in for Coach Richards.

I know the Bucks are switching to the 50 on defense this season and they plan or running the ball slot on offense but I don't know much more about what offensive formations they will run.
It's time for the boys to put last season behind them and get back to their winning ways.

I honestly thing they can win 6 or 7 games but the schedule will be brutal. I know some folks expectations aren't as high and that's understandable, but I think these young men will he ready come week 1!!!

Very possible that NY will win a game or two they aren't "supposed" to win.

Look out Athens or Meigs, think NY may surprise one of these two, just an early summer feeling.

How could they possibly put last season out of their minds when well meaning alumni, like you, keep bringing it up? Also, why would you give away secrets about alignments? I know teams watch film and will know at some point but why tell them now? Are you a buckeye fan or not?

Whats with these Saturday games ??? I hate them . I see no reason to play Trimble or NC on a Saturday.

HS should be played on Friday Night. Especially when I have Bobcat Season tickets and they play at 3:30 on Sept 3rd.

The gate is a lot bigger when we play Trimble on Saturday.

I'm not sure why we are playing Newark Catholic on a Saturday at home though.

Love that the Trimble game will now be on Saturday night. As for the N.C. game I heard they were having trouble finding officials so it was moved to Saturday.
Good thing about the Trimble Game with Federal and Alex playing on Thursday and Athens on Friday it will be the only show in town. Should be a great gate and with no college football what else do you have to do except slip on over to Boston Field get a taco in a bag and watch some good football. Heck might even have to hit up Bishop before the game at the original dog pound in Athens County.
Wonder if they will polish off the old cannon for this county match up?

The cannon would be worn out if they did. Word on the street is they may move the game onto the track when NY has the ball so they don't burn up the turf on the field.

I didn't claim they weren't or tyat their summer workouts were unique. I thought it was a nicely put together video, so I thought I'd share it.

I was commenting on the workouts not the video!

The Bucks pick up Minford week 3 next season (2017) to replace Liberty Center.

Trimble
Newark Catholic
Minford
Waverly
I think that's a solid non league schedule.

N-Y could go .500 this year if some luck is on their side. I think they'll beat a team they're not supposed to, as well.
