I think football wise now, this is about to get real next season. and I think it is good that there is so much parity, to cut down on transfers.

Not only is the OVC a very competitive league with the addition of Portsmouth, Ironton, and Gallia Academy, but it is a conference that is travel friendly. The longest trip for the Trojans is Gallia Academy, and that can be done in about an 1 HR to 1:15 on good roads. I wish my Trojans could be more competitive in football, but it will take time to get our program back to being in the conversation for an OVC title.

This Trojan alum is very happy to see my alma mater as a member of the OVC........we are very thankful in the Portsmouth community that the OVC accepted us.

Lots of OVC folks are rooting for the Trojoans on Friday Night!

Remember, in basketball this spring, the OVC teams beat all of the other teams (and each other) before they got to Portsmouth in the bracket, so the Trojans faced familiar foes on their way to the Elite Eight. Time to repay the favor ;-)

dave great to hear from you. I'm a fan of yours and the Trojans as you know. like you I feel like this is a good move now. but I wasn't on board initially. and said as much. but overall I think this will be a great league with a lot of parity.

Rock Hill finishes regular season strong with a win over Fairland to continue a season that is breathing new life into the program...makes playoffs. Prediction: Rock Hill-34 Fairland-14

A very down Portsmouth team just does not have enough to win at Waverly. Prediction: Waverly-36 Portsmouth-21

OVC Game of the week Coal Grove @ Chesapeake...Brian Kidd finishes his first year as head coach with a win over the Panthers to finish 6-4. Prediction: Coal Grove-20 Chesapeake-14
Well I definitely missed the Peake and CG game....

Congrats to Ironton on winning their first OVC Title...I Believe they make playoffs as well

Congrats to RH making the Playoffs and breathing new life into the Redmen Program

Looks as Though the Panthers will make Playoffs...Congrats to you as well....

Coal Grove had ups and downs this season but will we be strong next year as they were a young team this season.

Portsmouth and South Point both struggled as the season wore on, injuries and loss of personnel hurt them, I for one hope each program can improve next Season...

Fairland was very young and inexperienced this season and have had a few coaching changes in the last few year...hopefully they can right the ship next season

Gallia Academy becomes a full member next year...Looking forward to seeing them in the OVC

I think this is a first for the OVC to get 3 teams in the play offs. This will be a conference to deal with in the next few years as it will only get stronger.
Great job done by the OVC.
