Re: Portsmouth West at Chesapeake
I wouldnt count Northwest as a win yet. Anything can happen. And I agree, a 4-6 season at West is not successful
Re: Portsmouth West at Chesapeake
I look for peake to go after west the same way they did against Valley put together long drives by keeping it on the ground and pound on them with their running game. If west cant stop their running it will be a long night for them and like always each possession will be critical if peake keeps their offense on the field as long as they did against Valley....

THe Senior Class has won alot of Games in the Pass..always went undefeated down to the last games...Won.Superbowl 6th grade...undefeated Junior High/Freshman coming down to playoffs to losing to Portsmouth or Burg....so thats darn good. Dont you think...So coming on here saying they have no talent? They are a strong tight group guys, that play hard.....Now the Coach has them in the right spots where they are strong....I can see more wins...Alot closer games. Just As we all seen the differance in the Rock Hill game.WestSportsFan wrote:I'm not sure what you are basing your thoughts of talent from, but I'm sure that the junior and senior class hasn't won and been successful in the past years off of luck. Go West keep working hard and don't listen to those doubters.game day wrote:I don't agree. West does not have that much talent but they do have some good kids.

We hope that's what peake does that would be to our advantage. Nobody on our schedule is going to be that successfull if they try to run the ball on the inside, there is one thing we can do and that is stop the run between tackles.Here4Fun wrote:I look for peake to go after west the same way they did against Valley put together long drives by keeping it on the ground and pound on them with their running game. I know for a fact that West did not go undefeated in 8th grade or freshman year. As a matter of fact, they went 2-3 as freshmen. They lost to Burg, Ptown, Minford in close games.WestRocks123 wrote:THe Senior Class has won alot of Games in the Pass..always went undefeated down to the last games...Won.Superbowl 6th grade...undefeated Junior High/Freshman coming down to playoffs to losing to Portsmouth or Burg....so thats darn good. Re: Portsmouth West at Chesapeake
wow did I seriously see comments about peewee?? You are 1-3 and the only game that is guaranteed is Northwest leaving you 2-8 and that is why I said 4-6 will be a success. If you have all this talent I guess starting from peewee to high school then where and the hell is it and why are we getting blown out week in and week out. I remember in 02 when as u all know we went to the state championship game of course typical west side mentality the coach sucked, Bob Schaefer was their for a year and took them to the playoffs. I have watched all the teams west plays this year except union and your going down smoking until 10-25 against Northwest, Burg will drill u, Minford will drill u, Valley will drill u and I am on the fence about Waverly but they do have better wins than u do so leaning towards Waverly on that as well. 4- 6 IS NOT SUCCESSFUL OR ACCEPTABLE BUT IT IS WHAT YOU ARE FACING !!!!

Re: Portsmouth West at Chesapeake
Thank you Nutron for putting he facts to what I was saying. I am not banging on these kids either for pete sake they are kids and can only do what they are coached or blessed with God given talent to do, but wow people and I am talking to the adults who bring up how they won in peewee and won in 7th and 8th grade is so typical thinking here. If you remember correctly that same thought process was used in 89-90 or 91 forget exactly what year now but we went to Ironton and beat them for the 1st time in years and awesome for us right?? Well we draw them for the playoffs and they coulda had their way with us and did!! Again not banging on kids but don't tell me about all the talent that is their because if it was myself and the system wouldn't have ya 3-7.

Re: Portsmouth West at Chesapeake
Why we are just talking and debating? But I will say this West is thinking correctly in picking up Union and I hope they keep going and get Rock hill and Nwest off the schedule for good. And can somebody please tell me what has happened to Waverly was Ed
s coaching that phenominal?
s coaching that phenominal?
Re: Portsmouth West at Chesapeake
By the way I came on here to find out who was on 99.3 tonight and took for granted they knew I meant what game but was told Roger Gray lol , so I am going to just presume it is Ironton and Portsmouth.
