Could be interesting. Trojans have everything but just aren’t as physical nor aggressive when needed. But, they score points and are usually in games. The kickoff became a factor last week BUT so did Highland!!! If everyone is on the same page they can be a force against most teams. Let’s hope we see that this Friday.

Football weather tomorrow evening. Should be right around 60° at kickoff.

Yes. Fireworks. It’s coal groves annual celebration of life. Fireworks after the game. Games for kids. Etc.

Is Lattimore no longer with the Trojans? Didnt see or hear his name last week and so far this week.

Trojans with a great win. I honestly didn't know where the teams psyche would be. 6-4 is very realistic looking ahead.

If the Grove doesnt figure out how to stop good teams, they may lose the next 3 games.

I think the lack of a passing game for Coal Grove really hinders their pass defense. They don't get to see an adequate passing attack during the week in practice, how can you stop it?

They go to 7 on 7's. So they can pass, coach chooses not to.
CG has always had that one guy they would saddle up.
They have had games that there was no way they were gonna lose so why not work on the passing game? Instead he let's the boy run for 900 yards and 13 TDs(hypothetical). Kudos to the boy,but why not work on other things in real time?

Nice job by Portsmouth coaches and kids staying focused and not panicking in this one as they go on to claim a big OVC road win. This one came down to Portsmouth’s PAT team converting in the clutch and stopping the Hornets after their final two PAT attempts as they elected to go for two points rather than kick it.
Good high school football game tonight. Tough homecoming loss for Coal Grove as they enter by far their toughest stretch of their schedule.
Coal Grove will need to develop a passing game to beat the good teams on their schedule. They also give up way to many points on defense against good teams. This has been a problem for quite a while.
Portsmouth has to find a way to fix defensive deficiencies to avoid having to outscore everyone to have a shot at winning.

Does Coal Grove not have a kicker?

I was wondering why they chose to forego kicking the PAT down the stretch myself. I’m sure the coach had a good reason.

Bad coaching move
Re: PHS at Coal Grove picks. Fireworks.
He had over 300 tonight against Portsmouth plus a 90 yard kickoff for a td Portsmouth didn’t have an answer for him on defenseTaylormade wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 10:09 pm They go to 7 on 7's. So they can pass, coach chooses not to.
