   yeah but only after we've drive the ball down the field with running plays..........
The Chiefs was set up nicely and in scoring range a few times in the chilli game from driving the ball down field, but sideline management changed some plays each time while down there and blew it. Stick with what's working and what got ya there for crying out loud.
Proper management of the game is why we have a head coach!
Yes Sir, I totally agree 72.

As for the game itself; we will talk more about it Thursday night on our pregame show on 97 WATH at 6:06!

But a few keys to a V-

Athens- Mix the run with the pass and be successful doing both
-D Line is big and physical they must be dominant
-Take care of the football and get over the mental aspect of not winning at Logan since 1990

Logan
Gotta be able to slow down the pace of the game; run run run
Defense has to create turnovers and slow Down the Athens offense and create TOS

I went to the school meeting last night for the 90 million dollar levy. The biggest take away was Athens has 400 out of district kids and wants to be a closed district. I'm all for that. Drop Athens to D4

My favorite coaching philosophy:

Run it til the stop it. Then run it til it works again.

The little pups might win this one against a depleted and under coached Logan team but them pups is still sorry. The Chiefs will be back soon and the puppies will drop them as soon as they are.

Athens would lose a lot of talent that comes in from the county if that happens.

Checking the LDN tonight ... reading through loganlocos game preview & Craig Dunn's rundown of the Chiefs & tomorrow's match-up with the Bulldogs a BIG glaring "napkin stat" jumps out : Penalties/Yards .... 43 penalties/337 yards over the 5 games ... that's almost 68 yds in penalties per game ... ALMOST as many penalty yards per game as passing yards per game (72.2 yds/gm passing) ... Logan Opponents have been penalized only 28 times for but 188 yds ... a whole lot of drives can be "stopped when the good guys have the ball" or drives "kept alive for the bad guys" with that napkin stat ... ouch ... Chiefs will need a lot more DISCIPLINE on both sides of the ball to "Defend the Reservation" Friday night if a "W" is going to be added to our handy dandy pocket schedules ...
