Speaking of ovc. Had 2 teams cancel last week. Rock hill and Chesapeake now this week it’s rock hill and coal grove. Read coal and valley is cancelled.

Not sure the dominance of Ironton makes them the best league overall.

I wouldn’t go so far as the OVC being the best football conference in southern Ohio. Ironton is head and shoulders above the rest of the league. Fairland posted a win over what sounded like a very good West team. Portsmouth sounds like they played some good defense against Valley. I’m not trying to take anything away from anyone. But, unfortunately, Ironton is going to own this league until someone can build up their program and compete with them and win some games against them.

The SOC has some parity amongst the schools. A few of them could be considered pre season favorites to win the conference. Namely, Wheeleesburg, Waverly, and West in SOC 2 play. Throw in Symmes Valley, Norte Dame, and Northwest in SOC 1.
