At worst I see it going to six teams. Most likely seven.

Could be..... :!:

Ironton is expected still to leave, we will have to wait and see.

If Marietta actually goes in with Zanesville and the 4 OVAC Teams to form the new East Ohio River league, and Vincent Warren Local is accepted as the 8th team going back to the TVC for the TVC-Ohio Division, that's 5 teams left.

SEOAL in that situation:
Chillicothe
Portsmouth
Gallipolis
Jackson
Logan

TVC has been very lukewarm to Warren so I don't see that happening. Marietta going into a league with Steubenville? You got to be kidding me.

I don't see MHS or Warren leaving the SEOAL. Football is not the only sport that high schools have and both schools are very good in all other sports. They have there moments in football. I say they both stay. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Would Ironton stay if Marietta and Warren left?

I don't really know. I guess the only people who know are the ones who make the decisions at Ironton. I think they might because that cuts out a lot of trouble but you never know.

I personally think the divide is too great for Ironton to remain in the SEOAL. If Warren was offered by the TVC and Portsmouth by the SOC it'd be interesting but I don't see either scenrio happening. Marietta I think is solid in the SEOAL.

If memory serves me right Marietta has had them on there schedule. I know Zanesville played a few series with them. Chillicothe and Zanesville both played Steubenville back in 2000-2001 season. Chillicothe defeated the Big Red 14-13 and Zanesville was defeated. It would not be any different than Marietta playing Ironton, Logan, Chillicothe and Zanesville now. :-D

There are the old time charter members that want Warren back in the TVC. We will have to wait and see :!:

Only time will tell in the next 2-3 years what the SEOAL looks like. :-D

I don't think they will ever end that series do you? They have been playing each other in Football since 1898. :-D

Not wanting to sound like I'm putting either team down--but Chillicothe and Zanesville come back to earth after this basketball season. Every once and a while really good teams come along, and this is what the league has seen the last couple of years from these two teams. Over the next few years you won't see a team in the league going through a season with a zero under L.

Really????? Your first post after the Friday game in Zanesville was at 9:58 pm. Did you "travel" to Zanesville, or were you "afraid?"

Good game Zanesville.

Way to go CAVS

And by the way, what does it mean to be afraid to travel? Are you afraid of the dark, or is it other cars on the road at night? Ive never been "afraid" to travel, so you'll have to expalin that one.

No gahs4ever,
Chillicothe is not afraid to travel, especially to play your Blue Devils. Neither am I :!:

Sorry I couldn't make it to the Zanesville Game, our 7 year old son had a 102 fever. Some things are just more important than going to watch a basketball game. It seems you don't understand those type of things evidently. And your post is totally ignorant, especially coming from a so called moderator on here. :-D

What did Brutus8907 and popster say about your bitterness on here :?:

to be honest, the names you called earlier are very mild. however, IMO, it just goes to show what kind of a "moderator" you are
(lack of a better word).

gahs4ever, are you 60 some years old or 6 :?:

Now back to the topic Chillicothe is staying in the SEOAL unless our league looks as it would fold. Which, who knows? It could if all the teams but a few did leave. Finances and travel cost will be a factor.

Hey 86cavs....I agree with you concerning our CAVS and the Logan game on the hardwood next year too. By the way, do you know how many wins verses defeats in all SEOAL sports we have against Gallipolis :?:

Since someone on here wants to cut down Chillicothe for travel...lets see our records between our two schools in the past (2 years) we have been members of the SEOAL.

Chillicothe vs Gallipolis in the SEOAL is (21 wins and 14 losses) in all sports against the Blue Devils from Gallipolis. And I might add, Gallipolis does not field all the sports teams as Chillicothe does either :!:
