Depends on the game. Burg’s has that small town awesome atmosphere but probably not real jamming when they are up 49-0 in the early 3rd qtr.

Alumni doesn’t have a bad seat in the house and also no track to help some with closeness but big games are far from sterile. When the opposition travels 200 people and we are up by 30....yeah, it’s quite dead

Full stadiums are almost always booming and exciting, 1/2 full ones rarely are
Chillicothe has the best big school atmosphere for sure. Burg and Valley are really solid small school atmospheres.

Alumni stadium is hands down the crown jewel of southern Ohio . The atmosphere is very good for big games . Most of this is just hate by local programs

I’m confused it was when built, for this reason. Crown Jewel 💎 is a very fitting title. The biggest and best jewels are fitting for the crown right? The king 🤴 wears the crown and we should have a decent bid for preseason kings of SEOPS.

There is a field in Athens. It’s pretty nice and Athens can use it whenever

I was referring to high school fields, there is one in Columbus that puts that one in Athens to shame

There’s that Jackson arrogance. It’s not even January yet and you guys have won next years state championship and have the best stadium south of I70. Also, if anyone has a different opinion, they’re just haters. 😂 This is the sole reason that very few people like Jackson. Get over yourselves and just be happy that you have a new school and stadium because if not for those two things, you wouldn’t snag half of the recruits it takes you guys to be a 1 and done year in and year out in region 11.

This was a reply to a Wellston poster bashing alumni stadium . I am far from arrogant. As far as 1 and done that’s not accurate at all. But who cares what anyone else thinks. Jackson hates Wellston too . There is no love lost with either school

Classy act from a head coach! What was his win/loss record after that wonderful decision?

Is Athens High School able to use Peden Stadium? If so, why not play one game a year in the stadium and split the gate with the opponent. Maybe Nelsonville or Jackson? That would be a fun thing to get started!

You poke at our schedule because it has teams of lower divisions but now hint at playing a D6 school?

Yeah but you make more money playing at your normal field. Athens used the Convo to play Bishop Watterson and Africentric. Athens hasn’t used Peden since we played Parkersburg South there. It would be fun to have three games on Saturday, featuring the 5 county schools. But getting NY and Trimble from their home fields is like pulling teeth.

Alexander vs Fed Hock
Athens vs Waverly
NY vs Trimble
