Hey, Logan's the big dog until someone beats them. Everyone else is just chest-thumpin'.

A few kids to watch for us:

WR/CB J.T. Bunting
FB/DL Anthony Scott
TB/S Kyle Gladden
QB Cole Hudson
LB/RB Seth Garrison
PK Noah Baldwin

Of course, these are guys who saw significant playing time on very senior-dominated team his past fall. There may be others who could step up into the limelight -- and we hope they do! -- but that's going to be a result of the effort made between now and August.

IF I said if Tony Murphy would work really hard between now and next year, the sky would be the limit. Ironton's D line has the potential to be one of the best ever at the school

Tony Murphy has the ability to be good. How good is up to him. He really needs to be in better shape by next season. But this group as a whole was ugly. They got destroyed by every offense with a pulse. So for them to turn around with basically the same personnel and just be good would be nice. But one of the best D fronts ever at Ironton, thats almost an unrealistic expectation. But I sure hope your right.

Hey Army,
Don't forget about the junior class. The following kid's will make a big impact this year on the O-line and Some D-line is JT.Gray, who played some Defense last year, and then won a starting job on the Offensive line.Danny Demic, who played on the Defensive line with alot of playing time and did a nice job, plus he was a big fullback in the back field.Shay Netter,he started as Strong safety at the beginning of the year, then he was moved to the Inside Linebacker spot.He was the 3rd leading tackler last year for the Cavaliers, started all 10 games.Marty Dunn, who played Defensive back for the cavalier's,he was hurt at the beginning of the year, but made some big plays, when he got healthy. All kid's mention above got a varsity letter.Look for this kid's to contribute big time, this up coming football season.17 kid's are returning to the line-up this year. That's alot of experience coming back, for the Cavaliers.

good points Raven. Army. I know I'm partial to D-lineman, but Tyler Vest should be on that list.
w/out upsetting anyone, I'd say the obvious Sr's to watch(from a recruitability aspect) are-Knights, Vest, both Smiths, Deere, Benson, Dunkle and Grow. Sleepers that need to step up and put their potential to use are -Kent Parker, Jackquie Wong and Bryce Clymer.

I think another kid to watch is Drew Basil. This kid is THE best kicker in So. Ohio and possibly in the state. He has a D-1 sanpper(D Russell) snapping to him too. He is a much better Place kicker than punter, but he'll improve in that area too. People--he is good-period! The best HS kicker Ive ever been around.

also look for the ones raven mentioned to excel.

everyone that has been mentioned will be exciting to watch. but the kid i'm excited about it Troy Netter. I was very impressed by this young man last year during jv games and even during some of the varsity games. i think he could step up and be the starting tailback.

and the other young man that could have a big year is VanVoorhis. He made some big catches last year and is a tall target for Caleb to throw to.

should be an exciting year for the Cavs. hope these kids get in and work hard in the weight room and get ready for the upcoming season.

also hilltop there is a young man playing on the jv basketball team that i think should be on the football team next year. and that is eric young. this young man is athletic and just looks a football player. you and coach d should get after this kid and try and talk him into coming out for football. in my opinion he could be a very good football player.

I agree w/ the Netter comment. GREAT young man too. Doesn't say boo , and practices his butt off. He was the scout team TB all year and took a beating and never said a word.
VanVoorhis could be a good one too. needs to improve strength
I'll look into the Young thing

Cody Huff from Jackson will have a huge year, and so will Trace. I think Lukas Lindamood will make alot of noise also. Hopefully they give Derek Meredith some time at tailback or wingback too.
