SVC Football 2012

What are everybody"s thoughts on the upcoming SVC season? 2011 brought us two playoff teams and some great battles. Is it the same ole same ole or do some of the former powers rise again to be champions? Westfall looks to be the front runner but they are running out of transfers so this could be the last year for their dominance, Adena has lost a bunch, Piketon will be huge as usuall, Zane Trace should be strong as will Unioto. Huntington will be improved and South Eastern will struggle. Paint Valley much improved and possibly the sleeping giant.

Adena did lose a lot. They have many quality players returning though: Bryant,Wells,Bartley,Bowdle, Anderson,Pettiford,Harper and Nesbitt to name a few. One lineman with great potential was ineligible last year Mootz I believe is his name sp?

Still think title goes thru Williamsport. Piketon, PV, Adena will also be solid. Any HHS psoters have info on there coaching situation? Hearin the honeymoon may be over for Coach Bartholomew.Have heard one former SVC head coach has been contacted by a Bd. member about the HHS job. Thought the guy did a good job last year. How about ZT and Unioto...what do they return?

Unioto stopped him last year if I remember correctly....I think they have a lot coming back too :122249

Even if Keller doesn't return (i'm sure he will though) Westfall will still win the SVC. There might be some decent teams this year and a fairly balanced league for the most part, but Westfall is still the team to beat. :aaaaa1

Look for huntington to make a play for the svc this year. They have a good core of seniors this year as well as some strong classes backing them up. They are alos the only school that didnt loose a lot of talent this year. look how much they improved in just one year with their new head coach. Wounder what two years under his reign will bring. Especially now whit the old southeastern head coach now the defensive coordinator. Get ready svc. I look for huntington to surprise some people this year.
