LE to recommend Bartholomew as football coach

Logan Elm Local School District superintendent Asa Bradbury said Tuesday that Scott Bartholomew will be recommended as the new varsity football coach to the school's board of education at Monday's meeting.

Bartholomew coached at Westfall from 1997-2006, leading the Mustangs to four playoff appearances before he resigned before last season.

Before coaching at Westfall, he spent eight seasons as the head coach at Oak Hill High School in Jackson County.

Bartholomew, 46, believes his career coaching record is 113-61. Logan Elm was 0-10 last season.

Bartholomew said he did not want to comment until the board approves the recommendation.
