They have to pay prevailing wage, why wouldn't you use union labor?

I may be misstaken, but I think that the esteemed former Gov. Taft saw to the end of prevailing wage in Ohio.

I don't know if they are using union labor or not, but they still have to pay prevailing wages.

I bet the hole community is excited.
I can't wait until NY is done with its complex. My son will get a chance to go to a top notch school.

Let me guess...the road going up the hill in the background is where they are going to put the football officials dressing room!!! Right!!! LOL!!! Be glad when they get the new facilities..the long run up the hill is hard on us old guys after a game...Just kidding !!! Gallia has always treated us well...

Who cares if they use union workers for the new HS. Just happy GA, SG and RV are all getting new schools.

why use union labor?

go back and read your history books about the days before unions.

unions gave your the 8 hour day, weekends and working conditions above "slave labor"

ask again - why use union labor

8 hour work day? when did that happen? lol

I put in way more than that. Bottom line is Gallia County is getting 3 new high schools!

Unions are fine unless they pull the crap that I put up with when working for Ohio University. We couldn't even plug in the TV monitors in at the Convo unless someone from the Union came in on a Saturday and was paid overtime to plug the cameras in, watch the game, then pull the plug afterwards. I am sorry but that is to the extreme and was a waste of tax payers money. In the day of the coal mines etc, unions were needed. Today, not so much.

GO REBELS, BOBCATS, REDS, BENGALS, BLUE JACKETS, etc.

PS. If you cant go to college, you go to State (OSU)

Just a question, if you put in more than 8 hours a day, do YOU recieve overtime pay for that? If so YOU can thank UNION labor for that. If not sorry about your luck. Also, just ask the taxpayers of the Frontier Local School District, above Marietta about non-union craftsmanship... ARGH!!!!
