If I am not mistaken, i believe he jumped over our whole defensive line one time on a goal line play into the endzone . After that, I was a believer lol
If im not mistaken Luke Wright made Gaiters look like a boy.
Yes, JO Jo Played 3 years at FSC.He was decent there. He was starting but a young man from Fl named Wendell Johnson came in and started sharing time with JoJo. He eventually beat him out and JoJo quit the team. Shame, only one year left. Johnson was good. He is in top three all time leading rushers, which is crazy good.Theyve had some good ones, ie Donny Overton who played in the NFL.
1) Josh Waugh- His senior season was prety darn good considering he had broke his foot only 8 weeks before the start of the season. He had a full ride from Miami, OH and waited like an idiot for Marshall. He went for around 1,500 yards his senior season with 22 rushing touchdowns. Was the SE District offensive PofY, and was also first team All-State, and Division 5 offensive player of the year. He was a man at 6'2, 200, and ran a 4.5 (he ran a 4.52 at Miami, OH). He could blow past you, run over you, run around you, jump over you, anything. IMO, he is without a doubt the best back I have seen. If Mike Hunt broke tackles, then Josh blew them up. 2) Cody Hunt- He was faster then Mike, and was much more agile. He could do it all, aside from block. Cody was stronger then he looked, and you better get a good shot at him, or he was gone. That is what speerates im from Mike, is his top end speed. Cody was an 11.1 100m runner, while Mike was more like 11.6. Cody also had much softer hands, Mike couldn't catch untill his senior year. I remember Cody making two huge grabs from Luke Beach when he was a sophomore that I had to od a double take. Cody seemed to have a lot more long runs then Mike as well.
Best runningback I have seen is Jo Jo Parker. He was a man playing with boys.
But I would have to go with Jacksons Shane Wolford......2000+yrds 30TDS and Mr. Ohio Football. All names mentioned were some mighty fine RBs but Wolford was in a league of his own with the hardware to show.
Funny to see all those people posting JoJo and now seeing his son with a chance to surpass him. A few names I didn't see brought up was the West hb from 02(Lens?). Cantrell was a great at fullback that year. Also the 3 headed monsters employed by Ironton around 05 maybe and the West team around 08 when Pendleton was a sophomore. Alot of talented back in scioto county over the years. Montavan at Northwest in 2000, Pendletons at West, Valley had a lot of good ones in the late 90s early 00s before we started playing them. I do believe Gaiters might be at the top of the list of guys I've seen play against us, he shreaded some good defenses and scored at will.
Just gonna butt in and say that Braden Bellville should fit into this list somewhere. His freshman year he had 480 yds and 5td as a part time FB. Sophomore year he had 800 yards and around 10 td, as a Full time FB. Last year he had 1826 yds and around 27 td as primary RB. and this year he is sitting at 1,200 i beieve and around 20 TD, HE HAS NEVER HAD LESS THAN 100 YDS IN A PLAYOFF GAME.

Chillicothe has had some great ones! From the 70s Mike Doles, Carl Hitchens, Stacey Hitchens, Kirk Hitchens, Mike Fairrow and later Matt Mauger, Nate Rosenbauer to name a few.
JoJo Parker was a very good back, but before him was possibly the best back I've seen in Akia Brown. Just the prototypical sized back to go with 4.4-4.5 speed, great vision, yes he played on some really good teams. He also received a bunch of offers across the board including a quite a few from D1 schools. Akia's problem like some of the guys listed and some of the guys to come in this area and even at the same school is getting the grades. Akia had a ton of god given talent and I'll be honest he said Clifford didn't even make him work hard and he just showed up and was that good. Big back, speed and vision, seen him play quite a bit and seen JoJo play as well hands down for me it's Akia and JoJo is probably a distant #2.

Akia’s son is quite the player for Wheelersburg now.
