Locos,

I thought about including Marietta in the second level group and probably should have. The Tigers are a team that I'm just not very familiar with since I haven't seen them play for a while. They could definitely have a good football team.

Also, as much as I would like to take credit for it, Jackson didn't make the playoffs in 1990. They lost 42-38 at Athens in a controversial game and were upset by a score of 8-7 the following week against Warren. The Ironmen finished at 8-2 and just missed the playoffs. They did share the league title instead of winning it outright due to the Warren loss. It seems that the Warrriors have a knack for ruining outright titles and playoff appearances for the Ironmen with upset wins in 1990 and 1998.

Athens did get into the playoffs in 1990, but got hammered by Luke Fickell and Columbus DeSales 42-0 or something close to that in the first round.

Thanks 02.

Dad and I are planning on catching the Wellston/Jackson game this year. I'll have a ticket in our new reserved seats section if you want to come to the Lancaster game.

Locos,

Don't give those tickets away so quick!!!!!!!!! You have a bro and sis who may go to the game. But I assure 02 there will be a seat in that stadium for him. 02 we will see you in Wellston on Saturday night for the Jackson County game of the week. I wish all SEOAL ad's could see the crowd and consider some Saturday night games. I know coaches hate change, but they all love to play on Saturday once the playoffs start.

Army: I don't have the official standings on the Portsmouth-Chillicothe football series, but the last numbers I saw had Portsmouth leading by about a 42-22 mark, with several ties. I think there was a stretch of about 20-25 years that CHS had a very difficult time beating the Trojans.

In basketball, PHS leads CHS 40-36, but the Cavaliers have dominated the last several years, winning 9 in a row.

If you see some other numbers regarding the football series, please post them.

As far as the Trojans' football fortunes in 2008, I think they will score a lot of points, but I have concerns for the defense and kicking game. But I do believe that the Trojans will be in the running for the playoffs all the way to week 10.

Locos and 2old,

I will probably be at the Logan-Lancaster game. Can't miss the opening of the new stadium. Maybe we can all make a trip to the Pizza Pub again before the Jackson-Wellston game too.

What? In 1990 Jackson beat GAHS, but still didn't make the playoffs. Seems to me that the loss to Athens and the upset by Warren cost Jackson the playoff spot. I really have no idea what you mean though, so maybe my last statement makes no difference.
