"To be the man, you have to beat the man!" There's no doubt everybody in the TVC Hocking is chasing Trimble. They have to be the favorites again, although I think there may be a lot of parody in the league this year.

Fort Frye scrimmaged at Southern today and from what I'm hearing the Tornados are tough. Teams tied at 2 TDs each in the down and distance. Fort Frye did have quiet a few guys injured.

First 10 plays Fort Frye moved the ball to about mid field
Next 10 plays Southern got inside the 10 yard line but failed to score.
Next 10 plays Fort Frye moved the ball to about mid field
Next 10 plays Southern "scored" on deep pass but would have been off. pass interference
Down and Distance Fort Frye Scored in about 7 plays
Down and Distance Southern scored in about 7 plays

I would say Southern outgained Fort Frye in yardage due to a strong passing game but it was a very close scrimmage.

As noted- Fort Frye had several players out.

Fort Frye was 10-0 last year and return 17 Seniors
Southern was 4-6 last year and return 11 Seniors

JV
First 10 plays Southern scored on play 10
Next 10 plays Fort Frye moved to about mid field
Next 10 plays Southern failed to score inside 10 yard line
Next 10 plays Fort Frye moved to about mid field

Southern seemed to control the JV portion

We can all agree that the Hocking is still Trimble playground until someone knocks them off, so.......

Which team has the best chance to knock Trimble off the mountain?

I think Trimble is the KING but Belpre seems to be going in the right direction with back to back 8-2 seasons and playoff appearances.

Southern people I get that your excited about this year and I'm very happy for you getting a coach like Chancey is great he will get the most out of those kids not mentioning getting them in the weight room but let's relax on saying that this team will win the league running away

To be the team you'll have you beat that team from Glouster and that's no small task by any means and don't sleep on Waterford either

Good luck to all the Hocking teams
