Athens had a full freshmen schedule not that long ago but arbiter has them with three games now. Just got a new AD a couple weeks ago. Guess he wants a different schedule

Athens has 3 freshmen games on the schedule, 65 kids on the team (previous report), they must have a younger Burrow if 6 teams have dropped them as you say. 9 is a full schedule at Freshmen level.

And let's not get carried away with false statements. Nobody knows who dropped who. The fact is that Athens at one time had 6 freshman games scheduled. Now they have 3 on the schedule, Vinton Co, Meigs and River Valley. Will each of those schools sustain a freshman team as the season moves along? Who knows, but JV and freshman schedules tend to be fluid and change all the time so stay tuned.

Jackson could use a freshman game I think, be good game if we could get a mutual date. We started with 7 scheduled but I believe we are down 1 game now.

Doing well all things considered. Still some good kids, just not enough to compete with a very tough schedule at that level. Good experience though.
